i played it at my friends house. this is an intensely hard game, the hardest mario game I've ever plsyed(that's saying alot scince the only game i've played that i hav'nt beaten is SMW)

really! how?
 either you get the high score in super mario bros or you complete a number of challenges (if you didn't get the high score, i'm pretty sure you have to do that). you will see luigi's face on the main menu when you unlock it.
