Has any1 played this? I remember hearing about it when it was announced and when it hit U.S. stores, but Ive heard absolutely no hype, no praise, no criticism, nothing. Is it a serious sequel to FF12, or just a lame excuse for ur cash? I think I heard u just fly around as vaan in an airship with penelo, which doesn't seem very appealing to me as I didnt really think of them as the main characters of FF12. So wut Im really asking is.. is it worth a buy? any info would be appreciated :D
Revenant Wings is an RTS(real-time strategy) game. It's good amounts of fun. It's a little kiddy, but it still takes itself seriously. All the main characters from XII return, though it's a while before they do. And no, you don't just fly your airship around, you just use it to get to different areas. Was that helpful?
Well I havent played the game fopr more than 2hours, but after seeing it for some time I have to say its a good recomendable game. I read some reviews and are good too.. :) if u liked FFXII, you will probably like RW, and of course you will have lots of time playing it :)
It is good on its own but even better if you played and complete XII. Playing XII is not needed to enjoy Revenant Wing just helps with some of the characters :P
I love Revenant Wings. The characters are great, but Im bias since I love FFXII :) The story was really entertaining. But the gameplay was what really shines. The RTS worked well on the DS, the controls are easy to use and it was fun. I would get lost in the missions before realizing that I had spent hours playing.
I can say it was pretty good. Gameplay is a bit different but still fun. Though one thing I didn't like was how penelo looked like. She seems 5 years younger and now she's a belly dancer :s
