It was announced on October 25 that Akira Toriyama has decided to start a new Dragon Ball manga series. At the moment no further information is known so this is really more of a notification than an informative thread.
It definitely sounds cool, but I wonder how it will go. I imagine that this will be a new story with new characters so it's going to be hard to let go of Goku, but I'm still excited.
A new Dragon Ball manga eh? Sounds good to me. A new set of characters would be a fresh idea. There's only so many times we can see the same characters collecting Dragonball's and beating villains.
As much as I like this news I don't think it's going to be a very big hit. This new generation has a different taste than the old and I feel like the only people who will get into the new manga will be the remnants of the old DBZ fans.

Yea. They mite have to tone the violence down or something and make it PG like the WWE is now for the younger people. I think they should do a cgi film or something for DBZ and nothing like that piece of trash of a live action film that came out last year.
Came over it by chance a few days ago.. It was still considered a rumour at the time though, so I didn't bother mentioning it. From what I hear, there hasn't actually been word of it from Akira's own mouth yet. So, it's all yet to be seen right now.
I'm just guessing that there won't be any Goku. If there were then there woiuldn't be much guessing about how the story would go.
1. Goku meets superbad villain and must train. 2. Goku beats villain. 3. Goku meets another superbad villain against which the first one doesn't compare. 4. Goku goes SSJ4.....canon sty!e 8) Rinse and repeat for Super Saiyan 5, with a possible plot twist with Gohan or Goten somehow gaining ridiculous power. (Maybe Pan?)
And then against the final big bad villain we find out that Krillin is actually a survivor of an ancient alien species and he has the ability to transform and when he transforms he's stronger than SSJ5 Vegito and he totatlly kicks the villains butt all the way to hell......and then he throws his head to Namek.

You wouldn't dislike it so much if it was Gohan who transformed at the end.
Has anyone watched the dubbed DBZ Kai on Saturday mornings? It's rediculous. No one has "died yet". They've barely even been "sent to otherworld". :x And also we didn't get to see piccolo's arm get cut off in detail. And there aren't any halo's either. They've just been replaced with a glowing orb.
I honestly think that dubbed 4kids Kai is worse than DBGT.

Thankfully I haven't seen the Kai version on Saturday mornings as its not on in this country. I imagine allot of its cut. I only buy the box sets that come out like every 4 months.
Oo awesome. Hopefully they continue after the Buu Saga and not from GT. Or it may be a whole new series with new characters, but I hope not. I'd rather it be with Goku and the gang.

To be honest I'm not to happy with the idea of going back in time sorta thing as there doing it in the dragon ball timeline but eh least it's new dragon Ball.

I don't care much about double posts as long as there's a reasonable amount of time between them or you have something worth saying.
I'd prefer it if you actually just made a new post instead of just editing an older post because then everyone who already read your first post will know that you said something else, unlike if you just edited your post and then I might never find out since I don't have a habit of going back and rereading posts on a regular basis. :P
