:D heh. But strangely enough, I'm serious. More like a points tally or something. And if somebody gets a lot of cookies they could become an officer. We wouldn't give out cookies just for posting, but if we see somebody doing something really creative or helpful we could give them a cookie.
Actually, I've now come to the conclusion this is a bad idea. I just wanted to explain why I said it.
Yeah, I don't know. I'm not really inclined to hand out officer positions to people, unless two things happen, one is that they really deserve it (in fact I'd wish that this was a hard decision to make because it would mean we'd have plenty of active recruits), and also if we definitely needed more offiicers, like say if we were to hit the thousand member mark. So no, I'm not in favor of making a merit system, but I am in favor of offering recogntion to those that deserve it. Maybe a recruit of the month type thing.
True, not a good idea, but your heart was in the right place. I think we do need to do something to acknowledge the more worthy recruits. Chet_Jones
I agree, people who are deticated to the union need the be acknowledged, but an officer position isn't something we should hand out easily. I say that we only get a new officer before we get to at least 300 members if they do something amazing for the union. And if a person like that comes along they will get the only promotion for quite a while.
How about different games get Interactive Storyline threads linked to a thread that lists them all. So it would have a Resident Evil, (just an example), a Bioshock,(mine) etc. That would be cool and make the union really active.

well, we could affiliate with some "designs" unions... like emerald designs... they are kinda creative, right??
I only half agree with that. Yes, they are creative, but it's mainly creating pictures. Of course, some of the members may want to be creative in other ways, so it might be a good idea.
I myself never found affiliates any help whatsoever.
I will use the Soldeirs of Wii union as an example. I remember when it was the Revolution Army Union seeing they got tons of affialates. Some pointless and unrelated. They had ones for XBox Haters which I will use as an example. Just because I ultimately support Nintendo I don't hate XBox. In fact I hope Microsoft acheives what I beleive is the rightfull place in the next gen console war. 2nd. Now I don't want to get all controversail here but affialates might not even relate.
They might just affiliate for the sake of affiliating. I myself have never actually read any updates or posts about our affiliates. I feel that people already get enough spam to join unions in their GS mailbox. Plus I don't think anyone in the other unions really cares about seeing The Creators' Guild if they have know idea what it is. If it was an invitation then anyone could easily just reply and ask what it is about. But in another union no one will care.

Yeah, I don't think affiliates are helping my union mch. However, if someone asks, I don't say no. What I do when I affiliate is I make an update on my union homepage telling the union we are affiliated with them. I also put a link to the union so if someone is interested in it, they can go there and possibly join. So it sort of advertises the union in a way. Whether they do the same, I don't know.
I know I have been saying the whole time not to affiliate but if you have read recent posts in recruitment strategy than I think we might need to affiliate for survival. SOW is a great candidate.

I will choose a day of the week, on that day each week I will make a new question, giving each question a point value, give the answer to the last question, and update the scoreboard with who got the last one right. A couple of officers should also choose a different day of the week and make their own questions. Answers to be PM'd. Posts to be edited instead of more posts being made. The scoreboard will be the first post and when it's updated the thread name should be changed to that days date so that people can tell when it's been updated..
Okay, this has been bugging me for awhile now. The initials for "The Creators' Guild" are TCG, but some people use the initals CGU, which would be "Creators' Guild Union".
My personal preferance is TCG, but tell me what you all think and I'll make a final decision.

I thought about this recently. Now actually for once I think it's the recruits choice to see if they like it and alx's approval to make it happen. Now how about an official bank and store of the CGU. Every person can ask for an account and upon creating one they recieve 100 or 1000 cookies. Let's say there is a store with the bank and also different ways to spend cookies throughout the union. You can gain interest, win cookies through contests, and spend it for advantages in contests and fun things in the union. Use your imagination for those things. Certain contests and games you would have to pay to enter. Let's say in Brawl you could buy 10 health points if your dieing. (although something to that extent would cost a lot of cookies). I really want to do this but lets see what the public says.

I like the idea itself, but I dont like the advantages in contests. that was just an idea although cookies payed to enter a contest and cookies won when winning a contest could work
But we want as many people as possible to enter contests right now. I suppose you could say the Quiz costs a cookie and if you get it right you get back that cookie plus how many points the question was worth.
If we could figure out some rules we could make a game where you buy a robot and fight against other robots, and you can buy upgrades for the robot with cookies, though that could be pretty tricky.
We could open a shop of some kind and figure out things people could buy. Maybe they could buy a comment in their blog from an officer for a few cookies (quality of comment cannot be guaranteed:P).
I'm thinking about the robot game a bit more and I have an idea, it would be a grid-based strategy game, a bit like skine's airforce game but only using 2 dimensions with a picture for the map, and being able to build your own personalised fighting machine. First you would have to buy the parts you wanted, each with advantages like damage dealt and special abilities, and disadvantages like weight and power/ammo consumption, then put all the parts together to make a robot to send into the arena. During the fight your robot can be damaged and need parts replaced, but hopefully you will have won enough money to cover it. I could go into a lot more detail but I think that's enough or now.
