Online Games Suggestions

It has been thought of before that we somehow have members play together in online games. Why not? We all found this site for our interest in videogames, so why not try to play them together?

The trick with this is that we are scattered all over the world, myself in Australia, some in America, a couple in Finland, and I don't know where else. This makes a lot of games unplayable, due to the lag such a distance creates. So for this to happen, we would need games that lag has little to no effect on. Such as turn-based games. We also need everybody to have the game, so it would be best if it was freely available, even if it's just a demo.

So, I would like to hear any suggestions of good online games that fit this description. No MMORPG's thank you, I have no intention of returning to Runescape or MapleStory ever again.

Some examples are Scorched 3D, Gunbound, and Worms Demos. Those are all artillary games though, so please add your own suggestions. Also, tell me whether you would be interested in playing if we could somehow manage to get around the time differences and get some games going. We may even be able to hold small tournaments.

I'll put a list here if enough suggestions are made.

Is Starcraft free nowadays? Because I don't have it.

Tribalwars sounds a bit time-consuming. What sort of game is it? RTS?

And everybody, those games I mentioned were serious suggestions.

Yeah starcraft would work for me.Also Starcraft online is free which is called battlnet but you need to buy the Cd for it at a store.Or you mybe might find it at some online sites not sure though.Also I recommend Maplestory, and Gunbound.sithlord300

Because it's pretty difficult between Australia and anywhere:P We have slow internet in general.

KoL = Kingdom of Loathin. Haven't played it in a while though, got a bit bored once I finished it once......and moved.....and had exam.....lol all the normal stuff.

And me being interested depeds on a few things: if I like the game, if I have the time to actually play it, if I don't totally suck at it lol, and if I'm not feeling incredibly crappy. But yeah, sure, it sounds like it could be pretty fun. lol Wouldn't have to care even if I didn't have anything tosay.

And a note to everyone, you can all set up your own games if you want, the three of you that wanted Starcraft could set something up, though I would like to concentrate on games that we could ALL download and play. Personally, I'm about to start work, so weekends would be the time I'd be doing anything like this.

starcraft would be a good idea because anyone who doesnt have it can get the battlechest (starcraft, brood war expansion, and strategy guides to both) for 10$.dgwutka

I suggest anyone who hasn't played Worms, to go download the demo. It really is fun. But of course, there really isn't enough variety for that to stay fun for too long.
