You mean just putting in smileys for no reason and just to deliberately add nothing to the discussion?

Sure, that, but also those who use it while they are saying dumb sh*t. I don't mind people who say a nice comment then use a smiley, for example, but when they get into an argument with you and do something like "you are just a loser" then follow with a smiley, when they are being rude towards you, then it's just aggravating.

This. I know a PC elitist who does that a lot.

That's just it. How would someone KNOW someone else is getting angry? That's something I dislike too, people assuming what emotional state you're in..
