Xbox Live Vs PlayStation Home Video comparison

There are many things that Xbox has done right with the Live service, and it is the best online service as I am writing, but Sony isn't giving up without a fight with the launch of Home. The beta testing is already in full speed, and we will shortly see what Home can do. Is it a massive 'ad' land or does it just open up the possibility for sharing of porn through your virtual Bravia TV? Whether you like the simplistic view of Xbox Live or the immersive 3D world of PS3 Home, here is a comparison video a user made, enjoy:

Not exactly, on the interview they said u can pull out ur virutal PSP and pull our ur friendlist and u can play with them right away, "jump to where they are", "jump into the game", so you dont have to walk at all if u dont want to. Not trying to flame bait or anything, just wanna point out things that's incorrectly assumed.

I have to agreed with u on that one, i haven't log on to the PSN store for a few weeks, i am very impress at the rate that it is growing. Especially now PSone games can be played on the PS3 without a PSP (which i don't own), and just for 5 bucks, that is cheaper than what i can get from a old video game store! i bought a old copy of FF tactics for 9.99 last time at a old store. i hope more games come out, i may even get a psp so i can play it on the go and then back on ps3, back and forth.

but as of now, of course xbox still has a bigger selection for now.

Whats up with the Linkin Park music? Anyway, you can mark it down that Microsoft wont just let Home go unchecked. They`ll come up with something I`m sure. And if they dont...than that is very sad. For 50 bucks a year I get a good online service...for free you can get Home...Microsoft has some things they need to think over before their online crown is taken.jfkunrendered

So does it bring you directly into a friend's session?  Or just into the game, where you'd still have to search for their session, then join?

I know Phil very briefly mentioned that the system will be moderated.  How so?  To what extent? 

"classic arcade games" are in the Arcade Machines on PS3 Homes for free just in case u guys didn't know. i saw another photo of RC racing games 2D, and other puzzle games similar to those of popcap. i am not gona post the links, cause last one i did on ps3 forum got locked. It's "illegal" for them to post them i guess. So that's the PS3's version of "classic arcade games" though. kenshin1st

If it's one arcade machine per game, how will they handle if there are are hundreds of games available?  Will there be hundreds of arcade machines you'd have to navigate in 3d space?  1 arcade cabinet per genre maybe? 

Heh, that video was very biased; they only showed two portions of the Xbox Live vs. several portions of PSN.

And the music is bad.

Will PSN Home have anyone who's specific job is to interface with the community?

Will they have community programs to help out the fan site developers?  Or to invite popular community fan site personalities to trade shows and premieres?

Will a PS3 owner be able to manage his account and friends list on the web?  Maybe read/send messages while at work or somethere other than on their PS3?

If it's something that will bring them profit or aggregate value to the service, I can't see why they wouldn't do it(may take years, but at some point they will show up). And expect MS and Nintendo(well Ninty is a wild card) to have all those features in their online service, including 3D virtual enviroment.

As it turns out, Xbox Live already has those features.  And its not like Xbox Live will be stagnant while the others improve.  IPTV is coming in the fall as well as fall update with features that havne't been announced yet. 

Wow does everything xbox live does, BUT better (subjective), and in 3D, with your own space....

 And here's the catch.....................ITS FREE..

PS HOME 3D pool kills that xbox live arcade pool anyday.

Home is a cool concept. We just have to see how it is implemented

Yep. This kind of stuff is fun - but for gamers who don't really care about it, it's a good thing that it is initially free because nobody wants to pay annual fees for online anyway. MS should really cut their fees; they are rich enough right? I think that a free XBL service would really draw in more 360 buyers.

PShome just looks like a huge gimick to me, I don't care for it at all.

I prefer functionality over flashy gimicks.

Nooo, Phil said the arcade games are "user defined", so each aracade machine has many games u can choose from, think of it like NeoGeo arcade machine, u can choose from Metal Slub to King of Fighters, ect ect.
