Xbox Live Officially Down to $40

Yeah, it's on Xbox.com, down to 40 bucks. Seems like Microsoft is somewhat responding to the criticism. I still never really minded paying 50 bucks a year (30 if you can find deals like I did). For the best online service out there, this is only good news!

That's really good, but I'm still going to stick with silver for now.

I can only hope now, that when they go on sale, they'll be $20.

I got a new sub last month when they were $30.

Good for the gamers that pay live subscriptions but with me having a way bigger PS3 library, my Live will remain at it's Silver status.

I've posted in a lot of topics about xbox live. and in each topic there was a large number of people who were sympathetic to MS.... which is really puzzling 0_0

For the price I pay (£40), the service is laggy, voice drops out constantly, DLC is uber expensive. I get screwed out of compertions that are US only.

Maybe, or maybe it's just the principle of not wanting to pay money for something that is free on other platforms.

By the way, I'm born in the year you are using in your GS account-name so I don't think I qualify as a kid living off hand outs from his parents. :P

After all this time, you people still don't get it. It has nothing to do with being able to afford it. You shouldn't have to afford something that should be free. If you're happy being charged for nothing, then more power to you. I don't see the point in paying someone to use my own internet connection to host games for them online. There are better and free alternatives. It is the principle of it. If you can't understand that, then good luck to you.

I'll stick to Silver for now. MS just can't get enough money from us, can't they:roll:... I'll save all that money for a PS3.:D
