Sony is a lot more transparent with their gaming division revenues and shows that their yearly revs for PlayStation almost double what Xbox’s best year was....

Sony may be leading the gaming industry but I could see Xbox being worth more than PS. If this takes into account all of the money invested into said brand then I can believe it. Don’t forget that at the beginning of this gen Sony was almost bankrupt while MS invested over 9 billion dollars into the cloud for Xbox as well as all of the data centers they’ve built since 2013, Xbox gamepass, studio acquisitions, Mixer acquisition, etc.

Not sure by what measure Xbox is more valuable then Playstation. Only if you take the money of the parent company into account but Playstation beats Xbox division in terms of revenue, sales and popularity.

PS: it looks like there are multiple list like this. Sony is at 60 on the Forbes list.

The fact that the list results were generated with the help of a survey means that we don't even know if "Playstation" or "Nintendo" were even included in the list of options or what means this survey operated.

I did, however, find a 2019 ranking from FORBES, a company that actually specializes determining worth and value of people and products, and you know what.

So looks like that list isn't about pure revenue but about sentiment coupled with the potential for revenue generation, which looking at some of the names on that list makes sense, some of the big names on that list who have declined are companies like GE, been around forever and a day but perhaps appear outdated, for the entertainment and leisure brands on there the strong showings were from companies offering connected ecosystems accessible to as wide a range of people as possible, in that case Xbox being ranked above both PS's and Nintendo's offerings is not surprising.
