Xbox and Bethesda Showcase

There is a lot of hype for the upcoming showcase on Sunday. What are you expectations?

Same day game drops?

CG extravaganza?

Confirmation of a barren 2022 from Xbox Game Studios?

Multi-platform extravaganza? (All Xbox games are on PC.😮)

My expectation is gameplay for already announced games. I don't care to see new announcements for games that are just going to be a CG showcase.

I am excited to see Starfield gameplay. Their Gamebryo engine is the worst in the industry, and they're saying that they have a new one for this game. I want to see that new engine, and how it compares to their old POS. Something tells me its their old POS with some tweaking done to it🤦‍♂️

Expecting some Halo Coop, Diablo Immortal for console, Overwatch 2, CoD, Minecraft DLC, WoW DLC.

Very hyped for this event. Looking forward to seeing a lot of great stuff.

Between the two events and Summer Games Fest:

• There will be 1st party Xbox releases in the 2nd half of 2022
• There will be a remaster of one or more Fallout games
• There will be an announcement of a Gears of War "Halo MCC" treatment
• The event(s) will have gameplay videos (not GC-fest)
• Some Activision/Blizzard games will be announced as day 1 game pass

Those are my predictions.

If they don't come true, it wouldn't be the first time... LOL. But, there are a lot of "leaks" on social media about the 4 bullet points I listed above, so I am about 60% confident that they will happen!!!

Xbox Games 😁

It's using Creation Engine 2. It's an updated engine from their previous engine that run other Scrolls/Fallout games. So, yes, it's their old POS with some tweaking done to it.

I want to see gameplay and release dates for games like Redfall, Contraband, Starfield, FM8, etc. I am fine with a couple new game announcements, but have 98% of the show focused on gameplay, games actually releasing and let us know when we can play and pre-order the games.

I am excited for Indiana Jones. I assume MS is lining it up with Indiana Jones 5. Should be a great Xbox/PC game.

I am sure Forza Motorsport 8 gameplay is a no brainer, but it's the one game I want to see the most. I am a car freak, so racing games great for me.

The hype for this show is off the charts. The trending on Twitter is insane for this countdown.

Hopefully some Starfield gameplay.

I really just want to see what Starfield actually is.

There will be some Halo talk. The FH5 DLC pass will either get a date, or drop during or around the event. And there will be FAR MORE cgi trailers than gameplay. We won't see anything regarding Fable or ES6.

Xbox has gone a bit overboard with games now. It went from TVTVTV to GAMESGAMESGAMESGAMESGAMESGAMES. Calm down Xbox.

Here are the main things I'm expecting:

• Forza 8 reveal with a Fall 2022 release date.
• Starfield Gameplay trailer with non specific 2023 release date
• Redfall Gameplay trailer with Spring 2023 release date
• Gear Collection for 2023 in UE 5
• Hellblade in-engine gameplay trailer with non specific 2023 release date

Would definitely dip back into the gears universe if it's in UE the ultimate edition still holds up today. Need to see what's coming to gamepass this year there has to be something.

I am not holding it against you in a malicious way. We will see how much of your predictions hits or misses.

The deep dives for those two may come in the extended show on July 14th. That is my guess.

Really only interested to see if there is any new IPs and anything on new Fallout games.

Fable teaser would be nice but that is probably years away. Probably 2024 hellblade getting a date in 2023 hopefully.

@hardwenzen: Think you’ll find I’ve always only giggled at how hard Halo has disturbed Cows since launch….Imagine a game being spoken of so often, so bitterly, so long after launch. Meanwhile, nobody cares about hzd fw.

We're used to quility games. When Infinite came out, our eyes opened at how bad the competition is with their flagship titles.

GT7 got better with time and numerous patches. HFW was just a fluke. The extensive patching that game has needed and the dismal performance can be tied to Covid really. Don't give up on Sony just yet.

I want gameplay, gameplay, gameplay videos. Especially of Starfield.

And please announce a new Fallout game which is NOT multiplayer.

I'm sure that the last Bethesda game to use Bethesda's Gamebryo variant was Fallout 3, or if you want to count it Obsidian's New Vegas. Since Skyrim they created their own engine based on the Gamebryo variant for Fallout 3, the Creation Engine. Starfield will use Creation engine 2.

Creation might as well be Gamebryo. Pretty sure even the bugs are the same. And i really don't believe anything they say about engine improvements. At F76 launch, they were praising its engine upgrade, and the game looked like mega ass.

I hope they show Starfield gameplay. And announce a new Quake game.

If this show is a disappointment, Lems will pretend it's still the best thing since sliced bread.

According to Grubb, we’re not seeing Fable or Perfect Dark in this show. Maybe the one next month?

Perfect Dark is the game i am the most interested in seeing than any currently announced titles on any systems, so if they're not showing anything because its yet another game that gets announced 10 years before launch, that'll be sad.

@x_hedon: I purchased a racing wheel, the thrustmaster t248. It should be great with fm8, and for fh5. I just need to get it tuned up.

The dumb thing is how expensive the shifter add on. It's nearly half the price of the wheel. Fucks sake. But I'd end up getting it either way, even if thrustmaster is milking the shit out of people. My previous 2 cars were both 5 speed Mazdas. Loved both those cars, even though they drained my wallet.

Game Pass growing like crazy.

This show is causing unnecessary stress for the Sony fannies. I don't understand why, especially since no games are coming this year.😎

Looking forward to it. Never really been a big Bethesda fan though. Hopefully starfield isnt just fallout in space.
