X360 owners : how does it feel now that Mass Effect is released for PC???

well, everybody is saying that :

-x360 version looks almost like a beta test of the PC version (because of the rush to sale for the holydays)

-PC version is THE complete version of Mass Effect (bugs fixed - better GFX of course)

-Many VERY NOTICABLE additions to the game play like single squad member orders... etc... etc...

Horrible. Just now, I was soaking myself and my 360 in lighter fluid, and am about to light a match as soon as I post this. I cannot live in such a world where games I beat 6 times over are released on other platforms a half-year later. Farewell.

Do you honestly think a single 360 owner is going to select anything other than option 3?

No matter how u word it..its the same game..why try to start something thats not even worth it. We got the game a very long time ago. This game still wont sell as well as it did on the 360..the question u should ask is DO PC gamers even care about this...I mean the ones who actually buys games ;)

No matter how u word it..its the same game..why try to start something thats not even worth it. We got the game a very long time ago. This game still wont sell as well as it did on the 360..the question u should ask is DO PC gamers even care about this...I mean the ones who actually buys games ;)

i didnt say that, critics are saying that, look at IGN and other reviews that are already out. they say that the PC version is TH MASS EFFECT the 360 version looks like some kind of a demo comparing to the PC one...

I enjoyed the game very much on the 360, and even though I have a high end PC I will not be getting it again. I eagerly await Mass Effect 2 with all the upgrades and more that the PC got.

cows how does it feel that VF5 was released for the X360? (a better one)

such horrible flamebait.....honestly I could care less. Unlike cows and a select few fellow lemmings, I'm all for these great titles coming out for the 360 as well as the PC. After all it makes perfect sense for developers to make it for both seeing how XNA makes it possible to develope both in tandum. I'm happy for PC gamers that their finally getting a chance to play a truely incredible game with a story that puts almost all games to shame.

btw.....you do realize that quite possibly all the new features and what not will obviously be in Mass Effect 2, don't you?

Hopefully the PC release means an upcoming price drop for the 360 version.

Amazon.ca has it at like $33 (x360 version), add $5 for "bringing down the sky", and it's still a great deal.

As per whether or not it's important, the pc release would be important if I didn't own the x360 version and "bringing down the sky", however, it's inconsequential now, since I own the x360 and bringing down the sky, just like it was with KOTOR 1, and KOTOR 2, both were xbox at first, than came to the pc later with better graphics and mods and such, I didn't re-buy them, as I owned them all ready. I'm sure a new add on will come out for the x360 version anyways, and squad control being on the pc version is great, because it means they'll likely add it to the x360 version of Mass Effect 2.

I would hardly say full of new features, hotkeys have replaced the wheels and thats about it. Bug free? Frame rate problems still exist according to reviews. Free downloadable content? Are you suprised? This happens with virtually every such game.

Anyway, Bioware are big PC devs. Why did you not expect it to be released on the PC.

If the PC version came out six months earlier I'd bet my money you'd be "humiliated" that you'd had to wait so long. If anything, this allows you, if you own such a PC, to play an improved version for a cheaper price. You should be happy, not upset.

It's not bug free, every review thus far have said it has the same framerate issues as the x360 version.

Making the game look prettier and changing the skill and menu system will not get rid of the obscene number of problems that the game had.

Bugs and menu issues were the last of this game's problems.
