Would 4K entice you to play a game you didn't want to before?

I'm getting an Xbox One X.

Games like Sunset Overdrive and Ori I will definitely get because they interest me even if they don't get any upgrade.

But games like Recore or Quantum Break I still won't get even in 4K because they don't interest me. 4K isn't gonna change that.

What about you? Would a game on Xbox One X or PS4 Pro being in 4K make you play a game you wouldn't normally play?

An upgrade always makes me want to check out past games, ones I have no interest in but are seen as having good graphics I want to test my system on. So yes.

why would any one need a proof of purchase for a console that has only 6 tflops gpu . My 11tflops graphics card runs circles around this thing called the most powerful paperweight ever created known as the xb1x.

Absolutely not, the 4K boost is just icing on the cake, to me it would enhance an experience I'm already drawn to.

Case in point: Forza. I've been a fan since the 2nd game came out, and I've bought every single release along with the Horizon titles. The series was never really known for its impressive visuals, although I do like their graphics engines, performance is always top notch and the engine has a clean look to it, so the Forza titles always performed very well, but outside of Horizon 3 they were never known to be lookers, like say "Driveclub" was.

I don't know if you remember a few years ago, the #1 reason people would talk about DriveClub on this board was because of its incredible graphics, while making fun at Forza. With Forza it's quite the opposite, it is now finally getting a shiny coat of 4K paint with Forza 7, but none of that would matter if the features, precise gameplay and community-driven stuff wasn't already there. The meat and the bones of the experience has been there all along, the strong foundation and what matters the most is already established..... and now the icing on the cake is coming :)

But i must say one thing that my 11 flops doesn't have is awesome AAA Sony exclusives that isn't a racing a game unlike the xb1x lol. what a waste of 6 flops to have nothing but a floptastic library. I'm glad that two of my favorite games from MS (Ori and Forza Horizon ) is saving the console from drowning.

Did you notice that over the last three years that 60 FPS was not any type of real prerequisite? It's was just "1080p! 1080p! 1080p!" Now, if the Xbox One X isn't doing 60 FPS at 4K it's somehow failing.

I usually skip on mainline Forza games as circuit sims kind of bore me, I like the Horizon line of Forza games though. But might be considering Forza 7 as a kind of tech demo to the new XB1X.

Since getting a 55 inch 4K OLED and an XB1S, I'be been doing a lot of replaying of older games just to see how the new toys breath new life into these games, it's amazing. Can't wait to see how the beast that's the X takes this to another level.

I don't care about 4K full stop (my 1080p Panasonic plasma from 2010 still works and looks perfect to me), to say nothing of playing bad games just for a res bump?

Not in the slightest. Most games with the worst presentation imaginable become"who cares" after 10 minutes. Mount And Blade being a good example.
