Worst AAA gaming developer right now?

Probably Valve and Ubisoft. I pick ubisoft because of their lack of effort on their recent games. Valve Artifact failed money grabbing tactics is a wonderful episode but lets be honest they havent released a proper game in years.

• MachineGames- Manage to make wolfenstein games the worst FPS games of all time
• DICE - Copy paste battlefield games, Battlefront 2 become one of the worst AAA game this gen, mirrors edge also suck. focus too much on microtransactions, lootboxes etc. very anti consumer.
• Crystal Dynamics - Tomb raider trilogy is like worst video game trilogy of all time as all 3 games are perfect example of how not to make games. plus avengers game looks like joke too.
• Bioware - When was last time these guys made a single decent game??
• Blizzard - Obvious choice, overwatch was trash, sequel looks like rip off DLC, and whole warcraft 3 fisaco.
• Valve - Fall from grace, using Half life name to sell 10000$ VR set.

Blizzard because they're trash and a cancer to the industry since WoW. They basically represent all I hate in gaming since then.

I pick valve, one of my favorites that turned most hated, blizzard right there with valve for me, same thing.

Bethesda. Bioware. And EA are all trash too

I agree but sadly some PC gamers or valve fanboys still believe VR is future of gaming and Half life alyx will be best thing since slice bread.

yeah its like expecting a game in huge franchise turn out to be mobile spinoff.

As much as I dislike

• EA and their shitty business practices / sabotage of games
• Blizzard and their fall from grace and new focus on greed
• Ubisoft and their copy/paste games
• Activision and their greed
• Valve for not making games I want

they kind of pale in comparison to what Bethesda did with Fallout 76.

• First, they make a shitty, shitty game. Like.. really, really shitty. For full price.
• Then they add microtransactions.
• Then, after promising there wont be any more shitty business practices, like putting a paywall on useful things that aren't just cosmetic, on top of this already incredibly shitty game, they went ahead and put a paywall on useful things.
• Then they lied about the quality of the bonus stuff in the limited edition.
• Then they made expensive helmets with mold in them.
• Then they lied about their private servers that weren't private at all.
• Then they banned one of their most devoted players for picking up too much ammo.
• Crashing problems and bugs are still there since launch.
• Their apology for all the shittery? "Sorry, here's some old ass games for free. Oh, you console owners can't play them? Get a PC then."

And that's just a fraction of everything that's wrong with Bethesda and Fallout 76. It's just bizarre. They effectively murdered my hype for the next Elder Scrolls or anything new they're doing.

Valve and Konami let their IP go to waste, that to me is the worst thing of all.

If that's the case then Sega are by far the worst offenders for this, the amount of amazing IP's they have lying around rotting is damn near criminal.

If valve make proper Half life 3, using next gen engine, it will become best thing ever, instead they decide to use this IP to sell thier VR and make some shitty VR spin off.

Konami on other hand decide not to remake original MGS game which was best console game of that era. MGS remake in todays age would be so amazing. but they decide not to.

You know developers no longer control their destinies so much any more right. I do not blame blizzard completely, they sold themselves to the devil Activision.

Activision and EA are guilty of this as well. EA with Command and Conquer for example, at least they are finally working on a re-release.

I'm actually quite happy with SEGA, as they are doing great things in the PC space. From original AAA games, to ports of console exclusives.

The Twin Snakes should've come to more platforms than just Gamecube.

Why not blame them? Blame them for selling out, to a shitty company no less, fucking up their own company and their fans in the process.

Bethesda no doubt, they have been shit for years, releasing one broken game after another, and somehow still getting praise from the community. Finally with all the shit surrounding fallout 76, even their die hard fans have had enough..

Bethesda easily. EA at least puts out enjoyable games (NFS Heat, Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Battlefield) and have restricted monetisation to cosmetics only but Bethesda is on a whole another level of not giving a f***

I voted for Activision for spreading that virus called COD.

And basically thinking that any game that doesn't sell enough or rake in as much money as COD is not worth doing.

I was following that whole Fallout 76 meltdown with a smile.

But asking a hundred bucks yearly for Fallout 1st on top of asking full price for a broken game that is nowhere near as good as previous fallout games? That's just insulting.

I also don't like the direction their other developers and studios are going.

Wolfenstein 1&2 were great, youngblood was not the right direction (microtransactions, forced co-op)

Rage 2 was not the right direction

Prey and Dishonored were great, than they said they wanted Arkane to do a multiplayer game.

Theres bigger virus than COD. i mean COD is no longer popular and niehter get 90 on metacritic.

COD imo is certainly better than the likes of Fallout 76, Tomb raider, Gears of war, new wolfenstein games, bioshock infinite etc.

I think i'll go with Konami. They stuffed mtx into a single player game all the way back in 2015 - very forward thinking of them. Basically decided to stop making games to focus on pachinko. Except for trying to milk MGS5 some more by making Survive.

Never been big on Bethesda, long as they don't screw with the games they publish (Doom, Evil Within, Dishonored, Rage ) I don't care too much what they do to their other series ...but does suck for their fans. Same for Blizzard, only ever played Diablo 3 for a little bit. Never played any of their other stuff. These 2 might be worse Konami, just don't impact me as much.

EA has course corrected a bit since 2017/2018 after the BF2 backlash. NFS Heat got rid of that terrible mtx BS upgrade system from Payback.... we'll see how long they last.

Ubi has said their making changes as well... but they're pretty high on my shitlist after playing AC Origins.

Activision has earned some appreciation from me for the Spyro and Crash remasters... but ofcourse they went and put mtx in CTR...

Even though Bioware has shit the bed, Andromeda was a perfectly enjoyable game. Anthem was a shit show but underneath, the gameplay was still fun.

Don't care about Valve, just keep Steam going.

Didn't even touch a single game from these developers this gen.

I truly feel that the reason this is happening is because of the large turnover of employees in the industry. They hire a good team to make a game or two but then dump them off when salaries start to get too high. Then they hire on new people that couldn't walk a step in the previous devs shoes. But hey... at least they don't have to pay them as much... right? ... right?

Bethesda. Broken, garbage games. Ubisoft and EA might produce garbage, but atleast they're polished garbage. Bethesda have no excuse except for laziness and incompetance

Valve, they have done less this gen than everyone else as developers. Do doubt there's talent there, they just wasted their efforts with their Steambox initiative. They run the Steam store which is reason enough not to make another game but even there they have gained a reputation in recent years for allowing any garbage to grace their storefront to the point the store is littered with trash. At least with the other developers and publishers they still make some good games to go along with their foolishness.

Konami isn't far behind them. They're almost so irrelevant now I kind of feel they shouldn't even have been an option, whereas Valve still has a presence in gaming.

Betheseda for sure. I loved old Bethseda with titles such as Fallout 3 and 4, but the recent Fallout 76 with its always-online crap made me lose a lot of confidence in the company.

Bethesda and Konami are probably tied for the worst.

As i've mentioned in another thread, Konami seems to have an uncanny ability to make terrible games even with the right people making them and I think Bethesda's only saving grace is id Software. Even then, I doubt Doom Eternal can hard carry their parent company running itself to the ground.

Fingers crossed that id Software will end up being sold to Bandai Namco Entertainment America, but I think Gamespot can think of a better company to own iD when Bethesda finally runs itself to the ground.

ubisoft try hard, they're just rudderless and misguided. they focus their efforts on the wrong things. they're known for all the wrong reasons. i'm a bit gutted their share price has risen back up after plummeting last year. twitchy shareholders could have triggered a shake up. problem is it's ran by a billionaire french family with a ceo they've had for 20 years so the chances of anyone knocking him off his perch and coming in with new ideas is slim.

bethesda game studios have had a god awful gen. shameful even. i've not played f76 but i've seen enough to conclude you'd need a degree of masochistic tendencies to glean any kind of enjoyment from it. fallout 4 was pants. the rest is pretty much mobile games and mediocre mmos i never hear anyone mention. ever. 0/10 from me - worst aaa dev in gaming right now
