CD Projekt has released a clutch of brand new PlayStation 4 screenshots for Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, the third iteration in the fantasy-based, action role-playing game series.
The Polish developer is using the power of the new REDengine 3 game engine, which has been designed for next-gen consoles and is said to produce better quality visuals than previous instalments of the engine used in the last two games. The new engine will also be used to power its upcoming sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077.

Several new open-world gameplay details have been revealed by Marek Ziemak for the upcoming multiplatform video game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is heading to the PS4 and Xbox 720. In an interview with Softpedia that was published on April 12, CD Projekt Reds gameplay producer revealed that players will be able to go anywhere they want at the beginning of the latest entry from The Witcher series. Furthermore, they will have more room to explore as the world in the sequel is 35 times bigger than the one in The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is currently in development at CD Projekt Red for the PS4 and Xbox 720 next-generation systems in addition to the PC platform. The open-world action role-playing game will be released for North American sometime in 2014. It currently does not have a publisher. The aforementioned PS4 and Xbox 720 are expected to launch in the same region in late 2013.
