Will Xbox rip-off PS5's innovative architecture in the mid-gen refresh?

We know how Xbox ripped-off the PS4 architecture when they made the Xbox One X.

Now that it is proven that the PS5 is stronger than the XSX (And less expensive), will Xbox rip-off the PS5 architecture? I think part of the reason why SONY has been so secretive about the PS5 architecture is that they don't want to give Xbox any tips on how to build an efficient and powerful console, so Xbox will be spinning their heads trying to figure out how Cerny engineered such an amazing console.

How much better are the multiplats performing on PS5? Are they really that bad on Series X and will it ever even out?

XSX is dropping frames while PS5 is holding steady 60 FPS.

In the most recent comparison, PS5 has better textures, higher resolution, and holds 60 FPS better than XSX. And this is without devs fully utilizing PS5's custom hardware like its superior geometry engine. Unfortunately, the XSX has already been tapped out due to its off-the-shelf parts and no further improvements can be expected. The power gap between the 2 consoles will only increase in PS5's favor as the gen goes on.

@gamingisbad: Like how big of a difference are we talking about? Like PS3 vs 360 and PS4 vs Xbox One type of a difference or more substantial? Because I could never really a see a difference between those.

The difference will be bigger than PS4 vs Xbox ONE. PS5 has an efficiency like none seen before.

@gamingisbad: This kinda annoys me because I recently sold my PS4 and all my PS4 games and kept my Xbox One X and all my Xbox One games planning on going with Series X this generation. Looks like I bet on the wrong horse. I thought they would at least be the same on multiplats. I might still get a Series X if the differences aren't too noticeable.

Honestly, I might just keep my One X and not get either a PS5 or Series X because neither of them have any games I want, not even upcoming games. I really just wanted the SSD to make my Xbox One games load faster.

It’s actually the opposite if you care to look at history. The PS3 copied every feature from the Xbox and the PS4 the same. Ps+ is in response to Xbox Live and sony is about to announce a rip off of Gamepass.

The ps5 is its own mess though. It’s going to be an even bigger embarrassment for sony than the PS3.

OP is so sure of what he's saying that he created an alt just to bail when things get bad.

From all the benchmarks I've seen so far the two consoles seem virtually identical in performance. Not sure why everyone is trying to split hairs on specs. Besides, it's a race for second place anyway.

Xbox can do whatever they want. But there is one thing they can't do like Sony does. Make great games

I really don’t care who “rips-off” what from whom. If someone puts out a product that I enjoy then I’ll be a satisfied customer.
