No, not when the PS2 is outselling the PS3 and X360 three years into this generation of consoles.

It's pretty sad when you think about it:?
No, but it's apples and oranges.
See, Sony sells hardware originally for a loss with intentions of recuping later. They're making all their profits from PS2 right now, so there is still incentive for them to support it.
Nintendo doesn't roll that way. And although I'm sure they'll support Wii as long as they can (and allow developers to do so) I think it'll be like the GBA and die very briskly after the next system catches on.
No. i doubt nintendo will keep it around for over 5 years. the wii will probably be the only one to get even somewhat close to what the ps2 sold in it's first 5 years.Ontain
Yeah. Nintendo already talked about releasing a Hi-def Wii. They are on top of their game market wise this round of consoles

any link to proof of this?
I hardly think so. The Wii is selling strong now, but pretty soon, it's gonna die off fairly quickly (just a feeling I got.)dream431ca
people have been getting this feeling for a long time..
no. heres why.,
the ps2 appealed to EVERYONE! casuals, hardcores even non gamers bought them just for the dvd features.
