Next gen consoles will have Ryzen 8 core/16 thread CPUs and GPUs that are faster than an RX 5700 XT and with native ray tracing support.
Both consoles will be roughly the same hardware wise I am sure. What will be the difference that makes one better than the other?
Sony will have it's first party games that if you're a fan, that is a great reason right there.
Microsoft has invested in first party studios and they will be releasing next gen games as well and that may be a compelling reason for you.
I think Microsoft should use it's ace in the hole to wreck Sony. What is that you may be curious to know? Well, Microsoft should include the full Windows 10 OS on the next gen Xbox!
Think about this, a $500 Xbox that is also a full computer running full Windows. It would be a pretty capable computer with a Ryzen CPU and Navi GPU and an SSD drive. Microsoft wants to expand the gaming audience, can you imagine how many non gamers would buy the next gen Xbox as a cheap PC? Talk about growing your gaming audience exponentially and winning next gen with one trump move!
On top of that you have gamepass that will give you a bunch of great games and all the new first party games for very little money. Can you think of a better value than buying the next gen Xbox if Microsoft includes Windows 10 on it?
No one would buy a PS5 but then Sony would have to license Windows for their playstation and then come out with a new windows capable model to compete. But they would have to pay Microsoft licensing fees so M$$$ wins again!
