Wii U. PS4 will be also better then X1 this gen I believe. I don't think Halo and Gears of War's going to save XBOX this time either. And I'm a Halo fan, but far more excited for the game "Destiny."

I'm more likely to get an Xbox One than a Wii U. Far more powerful, Digital Optical Out for my speakers, will probably have much better developer support, and I'm not a big fan of Nintendo's games. Also, the 360 controller would be my favourite of all time and apparently the Xbox One improves on it.

Sometimes you can't pick one over the other, sometimes they are bound to each other, and with these, I think thats the case. When you are taking a dump for example, you can grab the Wii U controller to help you pass the time in there, once you are done you grab the Xbone and put it to good use wiping your *** with it, proving one can't exist without the other. Just my humble opinion tough.

Both will get their good games I'm sure. I haven't been crazy about some of the practices mentioned/rumored with the Xbone so unless Microsoft can actually pull off all said practices well, I'd say the Wii U.

Funnily enough most of the games available for Wii U  have been available to play more than 10 years ago.

Wii U all the way until 2015/2016 when third party support dries up (even more so then now) and then I'll buy a Xbox One for all the third party multiplats next gen

Mass Effect 3, Ninja Gaiden 3, New Super Mario Bros U, Lego City Undercover, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (2010), Batman Arkham City, Zombi U, COD Black Ops 2, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed, The Cave, Resident Evil Revelations (2012), Injustice: Gods Among Us, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Toki Tori 2, Mighty Switch Force HDE, Trine 2, and more we're available 10 years ago?

Or are you just making a generic statement about franchises that have sequels, saying they're "the same game" just because they're a sequel? Then how is anything new? Halo, COD, GTA, etc were all "available to play" 10 years ago if you think that way.

X1 has the superior hardware, but also seems to be more of a TV system than games, and also has some very anti-consumer features, so this is an easy one...Wii U, which wins in the area that matters most, games.layton2012

Wii U for me. Its just more interesting as a game console. Yes the Wii U is not as powerfull...so what, it just does not really matter. Yes, the Wii U is missing some 3rd party support but that does not bother me at all. It will have Watchdogs, it will have Batman and Im sure it will have the next Call of Duty too. But i will buy all those games on my PC or PS4. I got the Wii U for Nintendo games and the odd exclusive 3rd party games like Bayonetta 2, Wonderfull 101. It has a great social app with Wiiverse, a internet browser, video chat, free online and i get Netflix and Amazon streaming too. I think i can live with out instantly switching between my games and televison shows or talking to my console.

Madden, I wouldn't even get it if it was on the system. There were so many great third party games you could have mentioned and you chose Madden...:lol:

He chose Madden because its the one franchise always guaranteed to be on every console. Only a dead system doesn't get it (see Dreamcast).

Well apart from the fact that some of the games you listed have some serious technical issues (I mean to the point of beign almost unplayable eg. Batman, Black Ops) and some others can be played with better graphics, features and stability at other machines; I was just refering to the games on the VC
