Wii killing gaming?

look at the lineup for the wii. i'm not talking about first party, i'm talking third party!

maybe its just me but they have abandoned all hardcore mature games. Madworld, No More Heroes, The Conduit, and what else!?

The online is horrible and the hardware is generations behind the PS3 and 360.

Sure it gets the casual audience in, but does nintendo have lose all the hardcore for this!? HAVE YOU SEEN EXCITEBOTS....it looks so pathetic.... CARNIVAL GAMES?

Until i see something worth on the wii like Metroid Prime 3 and a A BETTER ZELDA GAME like OOT, and those are first party, which leads me back to

my first point, not many good 3rd party hardcore games. and when 3rd party developpers make games, they don't even try hard. PS2 games destroy the wii's in expirence

I can see why Sheep hate me right now, but from my expirence, it was hell. which i why i have a ps3 now, which was the best gaming decision in my life, though an 360 would also been a good choice.

Once upon a time, PSone and PS2 sold loads, and so they sold loads of hardware Then came Wii and made people forget about real gaming consoles, now real gaming consoles such as PS3 dont sell software THE ENDFirstDiscovery

well if you played killzone 2, the atmosphere and depth was made by its graphics.

In gears of war, the graphics weren't necessary, but like killzone 2, a lot of the game was made from the HD. Not saying that it needed it, but it did make the game that much better. Besides we are in the next gen, HD is basic now.

All the other games i listed were made for the NEXT GEN, which is THIS GEN. Those games pushed and the graphics were amazing. they could last without it, but in this GEN, its like required. Proof: Loook at all the threads. PS3 VS 360 Graphics.

The Wii is doing more to expand the gaming audience than anything else at the moment. Who cares if they aren't "teh hardcorez", more and more people are gaming. The Wii being successful isn't going to kill the hardcore market by any stretch of the imagination. supercubedude64

i understand that they are trying to expand the market, HOWEVER, did they really have to kill hardcore that much. i mean name all the hardcore games and compare it to the 360/PS3's. probably not even 1/4. By doing that they just screwed all the hardcore gamers like me.

Nah it's not killing gaming.. The fad is wearing down now.. Hopefully lower sales will push Nintendo to make better games. Though I'm pretty sure their going to persist on the non gamer crap until it completely dies down.

I can't really answer this question until we see what direction the next generation of consoles take. Considering Nintendo wants the next console to be more powerful than the PS3, I can say I'm not worried yet.

Um...Killzone 2 was developed by Sony Computer Entertainment.

Guerrilla Games developed the game, but the company is owned by none other than Sony.

Thus, it is first-party.

hurting industry, idk, but all i know is it is a waste of money when the game is only mediocre with no online. i dont care much about online as long as its a good game, but no game can make up for it othe than twilight princess, which i personally thought was average, and MP3, which was a very good game
