The hardware for cooling and power usage has issues, which can lead to overheating and, inevitably, the feared Red Ring of Death.
I am using linux :)[QUOTE="asdasdrgr"]

The funny thing is that you are probably using microsoft OS.

Well self-owned, I am using mac OSX my self.
But i use Windows XP for games. Could care less about DX10 or 11 unless some GREAT games do not support DX9.Because Bill Gate's wife, Melinda, was taking the kids for a walk in the park and one of them accidentally knocked intoa gypsy boy who lost his ice cream on the sidewalk. The problem was Melinda didn't have her puse with her so she couldn't replace the kids ice cream cone. This pissed off the gypsy grandmother who put the hex on her. Melinda saw this and tried to get rid of the hex by sacrificing 18 Microsoft employees. But alas, it didn't get rid of the hex it just transferred it to Peter Moore who was helping Melinda dispose of the bodies.
The rest is history.
Notice how when Peter left MS and went to EA, things started crumbling over there too :)

Because
1. Red is better than blue
2. Rings are better than necklaces
3. Death is only the beginning.
:D
its electronic! I've had my share of bad luck. first 360 got a bad video thing(no red ring) so that cost meh, then my ps3 goes after a week of owning it. and now last month my 360 finally got the rrod(launch 360). I've had two sony video cameras break. I've been lucky with my dslr's (nikkon). its the nature of the beast if your a geek. Oh and my macs are flawless victory! never fatality
[QUOTE="Hexagon_777"]This should explain why. :)topgunmvWhy does the "engineer" in the article recommend replacing your xbox after each year?
He did say "If you're a serious player..." :P
what do you expect? xbox 360 has been known for its high failure rate of rrod because they rushed out their hardware without enough quality control. that is why i don't understand why people would buy a system that is broken like 40% of the time.I was playing gears of war 2 today and suddenly i get the red rings of death!!!
