I was playing Batman AC and stopped playing to get my skyrim on. Next day I was playing AC revelations and stopped playing that game to play Skyrim. Started watching a reallygood movie and again I stopped to play skyrim. Skyrim, why are you so fun to play?

Skryim? Ah, you mean Godrim. It's because Talos has you in his grasp and won't allow you to have fun elsewhere.

While I love Skyrim a lot I think The Witcher 2 makes it feel boring.

But Skyrim does have a gargantuan amount of things to do

My guess would be that since Skyrim has so much to do, you never feel as if it's finished and want to keep playing it.

Patch 1.4 fixed it. Game runs silky smooth now and is a beautiful thing to behold.

hmm, I think you need to play The Witcher 2. Every rpg I played after my Witcher 2, felt like weak sauce to me. I love stories, meaningful choice and consequence, I love richly detailed lore and character development and witcher 2 had all that in spades.

I like (not love) skyrim, it's great game, BUT, I demand more from my rpgs. I play skyrim for the exploration and dicking around with powers. I play the Witcher 2 for the immersion, character, story, lore, npcs and the awesome combat.

Play it now!!!

The memes came from the game. they didn't add them into the game cos they were on the internet. Not their fault they turned into memes.

Also you can't compare the souls games to Skyrim. They are similar in ways but so very different in others. The souls games are obviously better but Skyrim is still good

Oh, it's like that at first. Eat, sleep, play Skyrim. But boredom eventually hits every game, only it just takes a little longer with Skyrim.

Skyrim was great for about 2 weeks, then it became insanely boring. I have the same experience with every Bethesda game. I absolutely love them for a couple weeks and play them to death. Then suddenly they become insanely tedious. Once you've explored everywhere and seen pretty much everything. Those questionable mechanics suddenly become a little dry by themselves.

While I think the Witcher 2 is a great game I just can't bring myself to play through it again. It just really bores me even when I changed my decisions through the game on a second playthrough. I was really dissapointed when the second act for the other faction was mostly a giant fetch quest again. I don't know what it is but Skyrim just keeps me comming back for more and on my second playthrough Im still finding new things. I guess its just the vast open world and the great lore it provides it just sucks me in unlike The Witcher 2 did.

Because Skyrim set your standards so high, it was difficult for other games to meet them.

Doesnt change the fact that Skyrim is a piece of ****, with little variety in its content and nothing in it is anything more than unremarkable.

You've probably spent more time b*tching about Skyrim than anyone has played it. We get it. Skyrim took advantage of you and stole your virginity. Time to move on.

The individual components of Skyrim are either mediocre or below-average (combat), but this game is the definition of "more than the sum of its parts." There's something about Skyrim that makes it fun and addictive even if its individual components are meh.

It's engrossing is what it is, it provides a ton of replayability. However I got tired of the game later on, but I recently got back into it again with my new mage type charecter. Magic is easily the best gameplay style in this game.

Actually, it makes other game seem better. Started a new play hrough of TW2 after a lot of Skyrim and instantly noticed how the gameplay, plot, music, voice acting, characters were so much better than Skyrim.

I hope the DLC will add a new area, I would like them to add new provinces that you could explore freely. I don't know if your aware but you can actually get outside the map in Skyrim and go to the other provinces (on PC though), and there are some things that are rendered outside Skyrim, like you can see White Gold tower in Cyrodil for instance, and Red Mountain in Morrowind. Why would they render this if you can't get there? I'm guessing they'll release it later as DLC or something.

Youtube: Around Tamreil in 6 minutes

I would link but GS won't let me today for some stupid reason.

It's alot better than Oblivion, it's not full of repititive dungeons and bad leveling system. The charecter models are much more improved but they still act kinda stiff, but all the skills in Skyrim are useful. No more useless crap like Mysticism, and the world of Skyrim has more going on in it than Oblivion did and it has more variety.

It's not perfect but it provides so much replay value andcontent that it's well worth your money.

lol Skyrim's dungeons come to have very identical layouts and designs. It's either some Draugr-infested catacomb, Dwemer ruin, Vampire or Bandit lair. And all of them have the same puzzles, the same traps, and a similar network of tunnels. None of the dungeons boast real creativity.

I mean, yeah, they're better than Oblviion, but that isn't saying much at all.

I mean, yeah, they're better than Oblviion, but that isn't saying much at all.

They arn't reptitive though in terms of the same design ect...and some of them are pretty unique. But to be honest, I think they should have less dunegones in the game, and instead just focus on making a small handful of greta ones.

Like Zelda, there's only about 11 dungones or so total in those games, but there great and well designed and feel epic. Do that with the DLC or something.

Ya the puzzles are stupid, I'll give you that. But there are more "surprises" in the dungeons this time around I guess. Like I was in a cave and founda huge city of those Falmer things, that was just random, stuff like that never happened in Oblivion.

But IMO Morrowind had the best dungeons in the entire sereis, now there was a game that made you WANT to explore things.

It's not perfect but it provides so much replay value andcontent that it's well worth your money.

i do wish it had more spells though. magic in skyrim was kinda meh. maybe they can add some in DLC but not likely

It sucks you can't make your own spells anymore, and there's only about a total of what? 80 spells in the game? But using Magic is by far the best way to play Skyrim IMO. Stealth is ok but the AI isn't the best and some times they seem psychic, and physical combat isn't that great compared to other games.

My only complaint with using Magic is that it starts to feel like an FPS, just running around and shooting fire balls at people. But it has enough variety to keep me entertained. I still think that in terms of RPG elements, Morrwoind is still the best. I recommend it, just has outdated combat and mechanics.

I wish Bethesda would remake that game, with improved graphics and gameplay.

Maybe you have the patience to run around and do nothing constructive in skyrim, where other games you have to actually you know make progress towards the main goal. I dont have the patience for skyrim so I always thought it was boring. I prefer games with linear paths from point a to point b.
