Why did CD Projekt RED decide to Xbone the X1 owners?

X1 is the only platform not to get the boxed release (DLC code card enclosed in a standard game box, instead of a bluray disc) of the Hearts of Stone expansion. On top of that, its marketplace price is higher than that of PS4's version.

I don't have any conspiracy theories. I'm just genuinely curious why this is the case.

The expansion price on XBL is $9.99, as CDPR said it would be. Also, this could be due to MS's release policies than CDPR screwing over One owners since the Shovel Knight developers weren't able to release a physical copy of their game due to this very reason. Hell I wasn't even aware they were distributing a physical copy of the expansion in the first place.

Everyone is Xboning Xbone owners this gen thanks to Microsoft's great policies.

But what about the CPU advantage?

On top of that, the latest patch makes it perform better than the Xbone version too.

You get Gwent card packs with the physical release.

PS4 is the leading console sales in this race by a huge margin. More sales = more potential retail releases. I think the game sold more on PS4, no?

I'm assuming Microsoft has a Stupid Policy regarding Disc Based games that some Developers are fed up with.

They already did with the last patch. PS4 version is now the best console version like pretty much every other game.

Is that the reason why you hate CDPR? Well if it is, then you've got a major problem with your console. MS used to have a Draconian policies especially to Indie Developers, right? You shouldn't be surprised if XB1 is left out frequently.

P.S. You could also consider CDPR to be an Indie Developer as they Published their own game.

It's 9.99 on the Xbox, just like what I paid for the PC version last night.......and idk who would want a retail copy of DLC....not I.

Xbox One still performs better, check the prior versions. Just because they nerfed the Xbox One version to make cows feel better doesn't change the fact that TW3 RAN better on the glorious Xbox Won.

NX Gamer's comparison video HAS 1.08 patch for Xbone where that version worked fine and compared to 1.10 patch on PS4, PS4 runs better.

I wish people would stop faking outrage over this and XBO Shovel Knight disc version and put it where it matters, like tearing Nintendo a new asshole for refusing to physically release Fatal Frame on Wii U in North America.

As for this, only time DLC should be on disc anymore is a GOTY edition, or a stand-alone expansion. As for the Shovel Knight shit, anybody that's interested in that game has it already, it's been out digitally for a long while now, anybody who has held out this long is probably just waiting for it to show up free on PS+/GwG, or show up for one penny on a Humble Bundle.

Basically the Ps4 1.10 version runs slightly smoother then any version of this game on consoles nerfed or not.

But thing is, Hearts of Stone is not truly physical, it's just the box with the DLC code card, so please don't take the easy route of shitting all over MS when it's not due.
