Nintendo

Sony

Microsoft

I am not saying any of them are, I am asking which one is the most likely to go bankrupt? (something like oh I like this company the best so it cannot go bankrupt or oh I hate this company so it is the most likely to go bankrupt is just fanboy talk) I am asking this: out of all three companies, IF one of them were to go bankrupt, which one would it most likely be and why?

Most likely? Probably Sony, though it's doubtful any of the companies will actually be *allowed* to go bankrupt.

Similar to how GM had been having trouble, and both the US/CAD governments helped out. I think the CAD government owns around 10-15% of GMC as of this moment.

PC software and OS sales saved M$ otherwise they wouldn't have made 360 As far as this gen goes all 3 are earning profits (sony also started to make profits)

Even with Nintendo's current money printer Wii, they still are the company most vulnerable to market changes. They are only a game company. If that tanks, then so will Nintendo.

Microsoft is a large company, which while lacking diversity, is too large to die any time soon.

Sony is while smaller than Microsoft has great diversification, so having all or even most of their divisions die is highly improvable.

So Nintendo.

Theoretically Nintendo. But even if their systems are not very successful, they have: 1) a loyal hardcore fanbase that will buy their hardware solely to play their first party software; 2) a solid hardware business model oriented around profitability from day one.

If their handheld line falls someday, though, Nintendo may fall with it. The key advantage the other two system manufacturers have is their ability to be loss leaders; if they only had the innovation and foresight of what ordinary consumers wanted, then Nintendo would be in a much more difficult position today.

I would probably say Microsoft they were unprofitable until 2008 and that still didn't make up for the losses that they had when they first released the Xbox and when they made a profit from the 360 in 2008.

Nintendo, since they have only one avenue of revenue stream: gaming. If that fails, then they're ****ed. At least Microsoft and Sony have others to fall back on, though Sony is in a much worse spot than Microsoft.

None of them. Sony is the biggest company ( twice more employees then MS, revenue bigger then MS+Nintendo combined). Microsoft also doesn't do just gaming. If one of them would go bankrupt it would be Nintendo. If the gaming industry crashes, Nintendo has no where to go, MS and Sony are way to big to go bankrupt.

Nintendo. Nintendo relies on its consoles, and even for one gen if the fail on all fronts they die... While Sony is a huge tech empire selling evreything from TVs to mobile phones and Microsoft has ye olde Windows bringing in truckloads of cash. Nintendo relies on its consoles for survival while Sony and Microsoft sell consoles as only a part of their buisness.

nintendo has more cash and short term investments and then sony, sony is financed 80+% by debt. microsoft eclipses both with cash on hand and both miscrosoft and nintendo have over 80% equity vs sony's debt.

All three console developers are so far away from bankruptcy that to even assume there is a slight chance that one will go bankrupt is really silly. It's just wishful thinking from fanboys is all, none will go bankrupt.

It will be Sony, then Microsoft.

If Nintendo ever started to go bankrupt (HIGHLY unlikely) Fans, players, Fanboys, casual players, hardcore players, would all put their money into reviving Nintendo, (since they grew up with it.) They could even do a donation service to help Nintendo, and Millionaires could pour their money into helping them. Nintendo could then use that extra money to build torture camps, where they enslave Sony/Microsoft fanboys, and torture them until they agree to only buy their products. then they would take their wallets, and when they find and terminate all the fanboys, Sony and Microsoft will stop trying to win and give up. Then Nintendo will give out free T-shirts.
