Which upcoming Ubi OW are you the most interested in?

Are you one of those complaining about “Ubisoft open world games” (I am ☹️)? Well Ubisoft has a message for us. Three brand new ones coming this fall. I’m curious to hear which one people are looking forward to the most.

All three looks pretty interesting to me on one hand. But they also seem to follow the Ubisoft formula too closely.

Immortals: Fenyx Rising

New IP. Like Oddyssey and Breath of the Wild had child.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

Good old AC.

Watchdogs: Legion

Probably the one of the three which is the most innovative with its recruit all mechanic.

God awful games. If i get the rtx3070, and get one of these games for free, i'll throw away the code off of my balcony.

They all looks boring. Far cry 6 will be less boring but still boring.

I got Valhalla and Watch Dogs Legion free when I built my PC.....oddly enough I'm most looking forward to Immortals

Throw them in the SW lounge instead 😉

Well at least there is Doom:Eternal DLC to look forward to.

I'm picking up AC Valhalla with my PS5.

As for the thread, my answer is both Watch Dogs: Legion & Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. Not sure about Immortals: Fenyx Rising, I need to see more before I comment further on that game.

None. If I had to pick one, I'd take Immortals, only because this is the first time seeing it and I'm only 98% convinced it'll be crap.

There is a ton of footage out there for Immortals. It looks solid, but there is no unique gameplay hook from what I have seen.

Immortals. I recently tried the demo on Stadia and I am definitely getting the game when it releases. Non streamed version off course. 😁

I like the setting for Valhalla but on the other hand its another AC game...

@with_teeth26: I think the better question is, do you like Norse Mythology and just ignore its AC family line? But of course, there's always UPlay+ and I was going to use UPlay+ to play both Watch Dogs: Legion & AC: Valhalla anyway.

Definitely Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Despite the horrible name (thanks, Monster Energy), I think it could be a solid Breath of the Wild rip-off. Not sure about the humour, though.

After playing HZD, I am 100% done with Assassin's Creed - unless they replace 50% of the Anglo-Saxons with fire-breathing Isu tech robot wyverns or something. As for Watch Dogs Legion, I think my eyes almost rolled out of my sockets when I saw that main villain is based out of the freaking Tower of London.

Today I remembered how Ubisoft is making The Settlers.

Lol, but as for their Open World games, I'm looking forward to AC: Valhalla and Far Cry 6

the "recruit anyone to play as" feature in legion does sound quite interesting but my suspicion is it'll be mainly a gimmick and yet another ubi clusterf*ck of laborious systems / menus to navigate and manage. watch dogs 1 already did the interesting premise that massively underdelivered thing. once bitten... the gameplay video above doesn't do anything to suggest that won't be the case again.

the shooting segment is an odd one to include in a gaming showcase mainly because it's so poorly performed. i've no idea who'll watch that and be impressed. the girl is pinned down in the same position throughout. tons of enemies swarming that she can see through walls. she's not accurate enough to hit any of them when they're on the move, only as they come to a stand still sitting-duck-like waiting to be shot. she's getting shot to shit throughout but doesn't die and insta-heals within a second or two. it's only right at the end she tries something different and uses a gadget to take an enemy out, but whilst that's happening another enemy sneaks up on her, pummels her with bullets and she still survives.

if that's the best showcase of the combat they could find then yikes. and let's not even get into the horrible voice acting. not for me i'm afraid

Valhalla and Fenyx Rising both look good.

I can't do those games anymore. I got bored playing Origins and didn't pick up Odyssey.

Just AC for me, sometime next year though.

Valhalla looks like a re-skin. Legion seems to add some new mechanics which may keep it interesting although I was bored of #2 after about 5 hours so it might not be for me.

Got legion with my 3080 though so no loss in giving it a go.

Of those Immortals looks the most promising imo. But not expecting BOTW good.

Overall though, looking forward to seeing this new Splinter Cell VR game and wither it's some gimmicky shallow piece of shit or actually a full blown game doing something interesting.

If I had to choose. Maybe valhalla.

Probably fenyx, no interest in legions and yeah we know excactly how ac will play out by now for better or worse!

This feels almost like a guilty pleasure at this point, but am I the only one not ashamed to say I liked all the Watch Dogs and Far Cry games? (since Far Cry 3, and excluding the "standalone" spinoffs)

Zero interest in Assassin's Creed, though. Its quite fitting that that series has "Ass" in the name twice.

I don't know anything about the Immortal game so that might be my choice.

I still like Far Cry to some extent- although I did skip 5 - the new setting has piqued my interest.

Watch Dogs - mainly interested in seeing their take on London. Chicago and SF in 1/2 were both really impressive. If i do play it I imagine I will drop it at/before the half way mark.

No interest in AC. Origins pretty much killed my interest in the franchise.

I actually enjoyed Odyssey... Quite a bit actually, so yeah I will probably take Valhalla looks like a fun loot and explore type of game.

Immortals is the one I want of those 3 the most. I might wait a while though as I will be busy with Yakuza like a Dragon, and Hyrule warriors for a while. (and I'm still into Genshin Impact)

I’m interested in all three of those myself. Immortals I’m interested in the most followed by Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and then Watch Dogs Legion.

None. Ubisoft OW games are trash.

Fenyx Rising looks a lot like Genshin but I will get it although I liked the name Gods & Monsters more. I am interested in all 3 (and will likely get them all) but Valhalla easily takes the cake here overall. The only reason I am interested in Watch Dogs after the first two were just meh to me is because I like the idea that you can take control of anyone.

Some other Ubi games I am looking forward to are Roller Champions (all in on this like Valhalla), Far Cry 6, and possibly Rider's Republic.

People can think what they want but I don't feel that Ubisoft isn't nearly as bad as some people act.
