Xbox One. Sony hasn't shown that they're willing to do anything all that different, just more of the same. Im sure MS will introduce more innovative concepts this year that Sony will eventually copy.

@StrongBlackVine: I know the correct answer is probably ps4... But the xbox games have looked much more appealing to me

Microsoft will be trying all kinds of new stuff to avoid falling too far behind...but it won't help.

Also the most likely thing Microsoft will try is moneyhatting some more games. That will be difficult with PS4 having a commanding market share.

The simpler console is usually the console that does better.

Both the PS4 and Xbox One have have shown very, very little of their full potential however.

Nothing wrong that opinion, but it is definitely the minority opinion based on all those Xbones sitting on shelves right now. I believe in Sony first party because they take chances so I know they make so cool new IPs then gen. Microsoft will stick to same boring Halo, Forza, Gears(Titanfall for one game) rotation. Their first party output is still garbage and won't sustain them all generation. Moneyhatting will dry up just like it did last gen. With PS having the better multiplats it really isn't a contest.

What could the Xbox One possibly do better than the PS4 that involves games?

If I knew that I would have the people of Microsoft Game Studios coming to me with their video game questions.

Two ulterior points:

  1. Look towards console generation 7: The Wii was vastly under powered and had a somewhat lacking game library but mopped the floor with the 360 and PS3.
  2. Video games do not always translate to the most successful console.

The PC obviously has the most potential.
