Which should I buy, a PS3 or XBox360

I'm not a hardcore gamer but have been itching to get a system lately. Until now, I've always been a PC gamer but there are just to many games not being released on PC. I'm not looking for PS3 or Xbox360 fanboys, what I want is people who have both systems or have played both systems and then decided that one offers more than the other.

If you want to have a Blu-ray just go to the store and buy a PS3. But if you want great games gor for the 360. The Ps3 hasn't gotten many great games only available for the PS3. I recomend you the 360 for the great games but if you need a Blu-ray and other media options go for the PS3.

How long do you want your console to last? if the answer is more than 2 years from now, then I'd go with PS3.

:| online gaming with xbox360 costs and extra $50 a year. It's absolutely FREE on PS3 and has wifi intergreaded into the system standard..That costs an extra hundred dollars on xbox360.

How online on xbox360 is considered a plus to some people is simply beyond me? To equal what PS3 has for online gaming out of the box on xbox360 you have to spend an extra$150.

You already have a PC so you can play all the games on X360 already. Get a PS3 more exclusives, more features, free online, Blu-ray, and just all around less expensive and more reliable.

Kind've like HD-DVD launched early then failed, it would be hard for me to recommend X360 to anyone unless sales pick up. The only thing X360 is hanging onto is the decision Microsoft made to launch a defective console a year earlier than everyone else.

xbox360 has alot of good games and so does PS3. Saying one is better than the other is opinion and I right now the libraries are about the same. Nothing on either one stands out right NOW, but with the games comming out this year PS3 will be far superior in library to xbox360.

Depends on what games you like.

Also it depends because last year I would of told you to get a 360 but this year I would suggest a PS3 just because Last year the 360 had the better lineup IMO, this year the PS3 has the better lineup IMO.

Just look at the games that are out and coming out for both systems and decide that way.

You saying the PS3 library will be superior in 2008 for example. There are maybe 3 games I want to play on PS3.

I bought the original Xbox last generation. I would've been better of with PS2. PS2 at the end of it's life had more games, had better games and is still being supported now. So yes sales do matter and the fact that X360 is flopping hard right now in sales (being outsold by PS2 even) says alot about the future of the console as in future developer support and support by MS themselves. Infact a lot of lemmings are already saying X360 might only have 2 years of life left in it.
