Wii U - Cost of Console: $299.99 - [Comparable to modern Med-"low" tier Gaming PC]
Games are similar to this generation with a slight improvement in graphics and performance. Nintendo's focus is to try and attract some core gamers in addition to casual gamers as well. Nintendo's line-up is similar to previous generations and third party support is similar to the Playstation 3's, but with a less emphasis on big budget games and more "family-friendly" games.
Nintendo will be selling the console at a profit.

Next Xbox - Cost of Console: $349.99 [Comparable to modern Med tier Gaming PC]
Microsoft's focus is to attract every kind of gamer and non-gamer to its platform. Microsoft will attempt to control the living room with it's overall entertainment box. Kinect will be a very important aspect of the console. Microsoft's focus for their games will be the same Halo/Gears(maybe)/Forza/Fable and smaller core digital titles. In addition, Microsoft will make a good amount of "casual" games via digital format. Third party support will be similar to that of the Wii U, more "family-friendly" games included. The hardware will be an improvement over the Wii U, but not as big as a traditonal generation jump.
Microsoft will be selling the console at a slight profit but will make it up with Xbox LIVE fees, etc.

Playstation 4 - Cost of Console: (Entry Console): $399.99 - (More Feautred Unit): $449.99 [Comparable to modern High tier Gaming PC]
Sony will be pushing the traditional sty-le of new consoles (however by using conservative hardware). The PS4 is more powerful than the Next Xbox by a good margin and much more powerful than the Wii U. Sony's first party support will trimmed down to it's best selling IP's and will be more cautious about funding new IPs. Third party support will be similar to the Xbox 360's, however third parties might be a little cautious due to the PS4's higher price tag. Non-gaming services will also be a big part of the Sony Network experience, but won't be as developed as Microsoft's.
Sony will be selling the console at a zero-profit but no lost as well.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
None of the consoles will be able to match a enthusiast/very high end Gaming PC.
