There's a lot of new awesome IPs coming out next year, but which will be the best?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
"Other" includes all games I didn't list. ;) Also, yeah, the only one I can think of so far is Stoked and Ninja Blade... I mean, Alan Wake, Cry On, and Duke Nukem Forever are new IPs, but I doubt these vap---I mean---games will make it in time for 2009.No 360 stuff, well , then again, MS barely announces new exclusives other than 2 such as Halo Wars and Halo ODST
I'm feeling the 360 will announce a new IP that will probably sell. From the list, I chose the one w/ bayonette. : )
Squall18
Gray Matter!
I just hope that after all of these delays, the game will live up to the Gabriel Knight series...
-Brutal Legend
-Alan Wake
-Heavy Rain
-Prototype
-inFAMOUS
Can't pick just one. All of these are new IP's and some of the best looking ones.
Sin & Punishment 2
MadWorld
Muramasa: The Demon Blade
Sin & Punishment 2 is not a new IP. It's a sequel. ;) Mad World is a new IP. Muramasa: The Demon Blade is a spiritual successor, but I'd definitely count it as a new IP.Cry Onlawlessx
Oh yes, that one, too. Love me some Mistwalker. I'm still wondering why it hasn't been shown yet...:| I hope it's not a bad sign, because it's co-developed by Cavia.

im expecting them to start showing it at E3 and TGS...the game should be ready for 2009 if what the developers said in an interview afew years back was true.Do any Hermits care or take any interest in Cryostasis?DeathScape666
I definitely care about it, mainly because it looks like a lot of games I like. I still need to hear more on it, though.

Guess that just leaves Muramasa and MadWorld... which is a spiritual successor to God Hand, so I'm very excited.Sin & Punishment 2

BioShockOwnz
It was announced so long ago, though, and still nothing. Were LO or BD released the year they were first shown? I can't remember.
no,but that was before microsoft really started holding game announcements back until the last minute.Gray Matter, the return of the greatest storyteller this industry ever had :)AdrianWerner
wasn't gray matter somewhere in your 2007 list?:D
Do any Hermits care or take any interest in Cryostasis?DeathScape666Name sounds familiar, but I don't know what is it?
Do any Hermits care or take any interest in Cryostasis?DeathScape666Sure. I've been following it since it was annouced over two years ago. It looks refreshingly PCish :) Incredibly atmospheric and immersive, something we don't really see all that often anymore.

it's the extended form of Crysis.

Is Cryostasis out? Action Forms website says it shipped in Russia Dec. 3 , just wondering if it was delayed or if there are any legit reviews.[QUOTE="DeathScape666"]Do any Hermits care or take any interest in Cryostasis?AdrianWerner
I'm gonna have to put my absolute faith in Borderlands...I absolutely CANNOT wait for this to come out. It's STALKER and FARCRY 1 all mixed up in a Fallout/MadMax sort world, mixing RPG/FPS, as genre that's very appealing at the moment....Let's hope it's coming along and that we can get it by Spring, and not next holiday season!
Also, Cryostasis looks outstanding, despite the fact that it will probably come full of bugs..it's looks gorgeous and very appealing up front.
After that, I'm looking forward to Crytek's new IP they are working on, whether they just announce it or we get a release, can't wait.
Oh Nike..good one, almost forgot...Brutal Legends looks like amazing fun
there are also some new Adventure titles coming in 09, don't have them off hand, but they look great. Oh, and for MMO's, Jumpgate Evolution as an MMO looks like it could bring Freespace back in the way many people have been looking forward too. Not as hardcore as EVE, not as simple as Freespace..we'll see, but It's absolutley something to keep an eye out for if Space sims are your thing

Definetly this... An action RPG that is not a damn diablo clone... lol From the sounds of this, its more RPG than FPS, as your character will level up, have skills, quests, inventory. And is being designed with online co-op in mind, which I hope doesn't turn out to be a bad thing.
