Halo ODST. Meaningless Story.Combat was the only fun factor.

Yet to play HALO 5.Why is it worst?

I changed my original post. I don't know if it's shorter or not. I didn't actually play it. :P I watched it on Youtube. I'm a sucker for sci-fi stories.

I guess Halo 4 had more cutscene's.

The on,y Halo games I've owned myself are 3 (way after its prime though), Reach (first game I actually bought in the series), ODST, Halo 4, and Halo 5.

For me, Halo Reach is easily my favorite in the series, and as for worst, I'd go for Halo 4. Not that I thought 4 was terrible or anything, just not as fun MP-wise as Reach or 5 was. Had I played Halo 3 online during the its earlier days/the peek of its popularity I probably would have liked that more than 4's online too.

This, but i didnt even think the combat was that fun unless you mean Firefght. That was pretty fun

Halo 4 has many cutscenes, thankfully skippable lol. The new enemies and weapons were a welcome change , but i didn't enjoy it as much as i had hoped for lol.

HaHa yeah. The Tank Section was quite Lenghty and fun in ODST Heh (My favourite sp mission from ODST).Hated how every else mission was in night time, scanning for rest team members last positions lol.

OMG you just brought back so many awful memories lol.

I can see why it was just meant to be DLC, it felt like it was a short mission or two.

Dragging it out takes away what makes Halo...........Halo.

It was so bad that i started playing firefight just to get some light in my life...........and i usually dont play multiplayer lol

I played ODST a lot with friends, so I have the best memories with ODST even if it might not be the best in the series.

Halo 5 is by far the worst. I hate that they removed co-op campaign

ODST was really good. Great challenge, as you were playing regular marine, and not some superhuman soldier.

-but Reach is the best, as it has the most moving story, and really good looking game too.

Halo 4 is the worst by far. Ok movie clips and story, but the levels were just boring.

I hope to play Halo 5 soon.

I only played 1+2 - but loved them both. IMO, 2 was better than 1 - I was very surprised when I discovered how many people online didn't like the way they went with 2.

Best: Halo CE (not because its good game but because other games are even worse)

Worst: pick any one than CE

Halo CE i played on PC long ago and it has most repetetive level design i have seen in FPS games. plus some of the worst too. the library mission is still single worst FPS mission in history.

I'm going to go with my favorite/least favorite as opposed to best/worst. In my mind deciding best/worst would require a critical evaluation, and it's been too long since I've played many of the games to do that.

Favorite- Halo 3; I personally think the multiplayer in this game was the peak of the series. The maps were great, there were good balances of vehicles, etc.

Least favorite- Halo 5; The single player just wasn't very much fun and didn't feel like Halo to me. The jump between characters was also annoying. Don't even get me started on the multiplayer. I hated the new online system and modes.

Caveat: My opinion might be tainted by my personal life. When Halo 3 released I was out of college and was working my first job with standard business hours. I had a lot of free time in the evenings to enjoy going online to play. By the time Halo 5 came out I was married with one young child and a second on the way. Lacking the time to develop my skills properly may have tainted my view on the game, at least the multiplayer.

Combat Evolved makes the other look like a joke.

I actually preferred ODST to Reach - I quite liked the vibe and I think by the time Reach came out my interest in Halo had waned a fair amount, so I haven't played any since.

But in terms of enjoyment at the time, CE was my favourite for sure...

Had most fun with Halo 2

Kind of tough to pick my favourite as both Halo 3 and 5 are pretty much tied. My least favourite was ODST although even still I did enjoy the game.

This has become a lot easier ever since 343 started developing Halo.

Worst is 5. 3 is best.

Don't you think F.E.A.R. is one of the best FPS games? I don't see very many differences between the first Halo game and F.E.A.R. (although F.E.A.R. has considerably better pacing).

There hell lot difference between both.

FEAR has best shooting mechanics of all time while Halo shooting imo suck. the slo mo with shotgun never get old in FEAR.

I agree with your opinion on Halo Reach but the worst one to me was actually Halo 5.

No splitscreen mp, campaign only had 3 Master Chief missions and they added the stupid as hell Gears of War style bleed out mode you enter when you're about to die in campaign! Master Chief has survived 4 games by himself! Why does he need a team all of a sudden!?

I like 3 the best and 4 the least. I look at the multiplayer before the campaigns though- 3 is my favorite multiplayer and 4 is my least favorite multiplayer.

Appreciated the attempt at mission variety like setting bombs and stuff, but the game was just not needed. It felt like a cheap cash in.

Had only 1 and 2 on both pc and console...and haven't find it of any interest!!!

Was huge fun of Tribes 2 way back then, and it's my favorite mp shooter to date.

I think I'm one of the only people who really liked ODST.

Best: Halo 3. Satisfying conclusion to the SP campaign, great multilayer, and forge made for some of the best times I've had in gaming. People made some really great stuff and the community felt very active.

Worst: Halo 4. Absolutely hated the direction they took the story and I couldn't get into the multiplayer. Spent very little time with this one.
