Which console had the worst year PS3 launch-07 or xbox360 09? Poll

Ok things to note were the actual games that came out.

Hyped/NOTEABLE Exclusivegames

PS3 07:

Resistance Fall of man = 8.6

Fokelore = 7.0

Heavenly Sword = 8.0

Warhawk = 8.5

Motorstorm = 7.9

Ninja Gaiden Sigma = 9.0

Uncharted = 8.0

Xbox360 09:

Halo 3 OSDT = 9.0

Halo Wars = 6.5

Forza 3 = 9.5

Ninja Blade = 7.5

xbl game

Shadow complex = 8.5

Both have been said to have had horrible years but who takes the cake? I think it's worth noting tho that PS3's supposed bad year was when it first came on the market--which was it's first year, just saying.

Xbox 360

you should add shadow complex for xbox 360. it's just too awesome to be left out, even for an arcade title

The PS3 was pretty dead in 07, plus it was pretty funny how bad some games were flopping :P

The 360 has basically been delivering on what few exclusives its been pumping out, so i think the crown of failure goes to PS3's 07! :D

I'd say ps3 had the better exclusive lineup. I'd take Warhawk , Uncharted , Heavenly Sword , Ratchet and Clank , Folklore , and Motorstorm over what the 360 has to offer this year exclusively. They beat Forza 3 , Halo expansion , Halo Wars , Race Pro , and Stoked even head to head today imho (collectively).

Put Resistance aside because that was 2006 , and SO4 and Ninja Blade aren't exclusives apparently.

I would say 07 was worse.

Probably the launch of the Ps3, but I really liked those games even if there isn't any AAA games. The only problem is most of them are short.

360 has had a great 09 exclusives and multiplats wise. And theres also Race Pro, Stoked, Shadow Complex and GTA EfLC. And L4D2 since you are including NGS

How has the 360 had a horrible year? :? It's had plenty of awesome games, with plenty more to come before christmas. If you insist on ignoring any game that isn't an exclusive, most systems are going to look like rubbish.Ninja-Hippo

Where's Wii '08? That I felt was a bit worse than Sony's 2007 at least.

EDIT: Nevermind, I look back and looking at scores now. It has to be Sony's 07.

For me its the 360 easily. Ive only bought SOIV from its line-up this year and whilst i loved it, its not exclusive anymore. The PS3s 07 wasnta bad year at all in my book.

So you are also admitting the 360 exclusive lineuup is rather dull ? :P System Wars is built on pointless bragging rights arguments , and I'm putting things into some perspective based on the question at hand.

Well thats the whole point of SW, we cant exactly use multiplats to determine a winner. Its exclusives and sales. We just have to go along with the rules.

I made a post about this 2 years ago, the jist of it was SW has become so far disconnected from reality that it really is worthless. Forget real life, SW has even strayed so far away from the gaming world, we're now in our own little bubble inside a bubble just doing absoloutely nothing. I mean dont you think its a bit weird that a game can be branded crap/flop yet have a high review average and also be a million+ seller. But here, said game doesnt exist (Halo Wars for example). I remember suggesting a few fixes (which i cant remember now :P) but i dont think anyone cared.

OT: This has been on my mind for a while now, are you Ninja_Vortex?

ODST is not an expansion. I'm sick of fanboys calling it that. It not only includes that entire Halo 3 multiplayer, but a full campaign and a new multiplayer mode.RideUrLightning

No not a full campaign. A 5 hour campaign and a horde mode.
Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts (an expansion) has 2 new armies + 2 new 5 hour campaigns and it costs 30$

I always said that the PS3 wins polls, but I didn't think it would pertain to negative polls too :P

PS3 no doubt, when a year after the official launch, and the only worth while game that is worth getting is a ported version of a last gen game of rival's console, then you know it is really, really REALLY bad

I got a ps3 in september of 07, and I thought it was great. It may have really stunk for people who had it since launch but I got resistance, motorstorm, uncharted, warhawk, and folklore which were all really great fun, plus a few really good downloadable games. This year, The only exclusive Ive gotten for 360 was ODST, which I didn't like at all, I thought the original halo was alot better, even the single player campaign. and I was never a big fan of halos single player either lol

I think that's worth noting more than the game list. It was hard to justify the Ps3's price tag for a handful of good games.

The down year for 360 doesn't seem as bad because it already has great games.

But comparing the lists objectively, both lists are fairly equal to me.

360. racing games are huge, but sim racers just suck to me. they make it harder than it really is. i can drift around a corner in my z30 in reality, but in sim racers i always drift 30 feet to the left and smash into a wall. they then proceed to blur my vision... apparently the crash triggered my car's cabin fog machine.

Since we on GS and only AAAE games matter according to all the AAAE talks recently the 360 has it easily. 2 AAAE's this year to the PS3's 0...no brainer for SW logic...
