Over on the xbox forums people are talking about microsoft buying playstation and importing all game to xbox one, do you think they are right?

No one company will buy Sony, gaming is much more than on thing, it's studios, licenses, factories, the publishing aspect that deals with advertising, Gaikai, those that deal with managing rights, and who whole fucklot I probably couldn't begin to think about. Too much for any company to want to buy outright.
Rather everyone who still maintains a stake in the gaming market will come to peck Sony clean to the bone. If Sony did go bankrupt anytime soon then most likely all the assets of the company would then go into some kind of holding company for liquidation, meaning one at a time each asset will be for sale to the highest bidder, this is done to maximize return on its assets to pay back their liabilities (debts). So, maybe MS only buys the Uncharted IP, the Naughty Dog Studio, maybe EA buys Killzone but decides **** Guerrilla Games, maybe Activision buys Crash Bandicoot license... piece by piece things go to the highest bidder. And then, there's lots of things likely not to be bought that will just sit their in limbo, maybe people want to see WipeOut ported over to the Xbox/Nintendo whatever, or PC, but no publisher has rights to it, then its still in holding but it's impossible to ascertain who has the rights and to what, nothing ever gets done, and the title becomes nothing more than a subject of nostalgic recollection like "remember those times...?".
I mean, if someone did buy "Sony" or "PlayStation", they might just be buying the goodwill of the name but not all that which goes with it.
@Heil68: the xbox people are saying sony only has two years left.
Well thank goodness we have this gen for the memories and thanks for the most powerful video game console in the history of video games and knocking MS the **** out at E3 reveal to keep us gamers first and foremost.
