Whats your wishlist for Next Metro game?

So next Metro game is all but confirmed as its coming. as 4A is making new IP and Metro 4. and Metro is one of the greatest FPS series of all time. and also one of the best gaming trilogy.

what would be your wishlist for Metro 4?

All I want in next Metro is remain semi sandbox like Exodus but set only in Metro tunnels with few ocasstional outside one. some of levels in Exodus is very unmetro like caspian desert.

keep Metro dark and gritty like 2033 and last light with emphasize on super natural elements like dark ones.

Make it less scripted even though being scripted Metro still remain masterpiece but how about making it less scripted.

with STALKER 2 and Atomic Heart around the corner. and New Metro is all but confirmed. Russian/Ukrainian developers really revolutionizing gaming industry.

Get rid off the morality stuff. I just don't wanna keep sneaking to keep some character alive. The rest is fine-ish.

My wish is that you don't make 100 repetitive threads about it.

I have had enough Metro. Particularly after Exodus, which was the weakest of the series. Would much rather see 4A try something new.

If anything, set the game in St. Petersburg and make the whole game one continuous map.

Destructible environment is great to see in any game.

That you get to play as Jack from Titanic.

Needs more cutscenes, aim assist, and a female lead.

That actually sounds pretty appealing. I want to be able to really explore the metro system.

One of the things that made me love Fallout 3 so much was the metro system and how it connected all the different parts of the world. Exploring them and finding out where I could get to via the metro tunnels was a blast. It was especially tense in the early game where traveling above ground was actually much more difficult than moving through the metro

It should be less open world than the last Metro. I hated all that walking around, and I quit when I reached the factory.

Also, the game should not rely too much on putting on a gas mask. It can feel overused at times.

Less CoD, more Stalker.

All they have to do is make a game that has good graphics and it will sell. Graphics mean more than gameplay in todays market as was obviously the case with Metro Exodus.

But seriously, I think they should go back to their roots and make it a linear horror shooter like Metro 2033. The past two just don't feel scary or evoke any creepiness that I felt worked with the Chernobyl-like setting with monsters in the first.

Metro Exodus have more depth than Crysis.

exodus had a bit of multiple personality disorder. couldn't make it's mind up if it was sandbox, or linear like the other two metro games. kept flitting back and forth between the two.

was at its best when it gave you options, got out of your way and let you play. swapping freedom for another tightly scripted forced stealth / action / horror sequence was grating. new game needs to pick one and stick with it. but please not all underground. tunnels + torch + monsters waling in the dark does not equal atmosphere. gets old fast. look at doom 3. oh and those accents needs to go full stop. thank god captain miller is no more. one of the worst accents and dialogue in video game history

Crysis despite being PC exclusive play lot like console shooter with having regen health, on rail segment, scripted sequence etc. i mean second half was entirely linear and scripted.

Crysis decline after original game due to more consolzation of already consolized game. Metro remain in quality and become one of the finest trilogy in gaming.

You've said this a bazillion times already to different people on these forums. Not sure why you felt the need to bring up Crysis in the first place, saying stuff about Crysis doesn't make Metro Exodus a better game.

@ghosts4ever: You do realize that even if you post the same BS 10,000 times it's still BS right?

Get rid of the annoying QTEs, escort missions (or any mission that involves you babysitting a friendly A.I). fewer bullet sponge enemies that just charge at you. I'd prefer 4A games just did something completely different entirely. I'm kinda over the soviet post-apocalyptic setting (except for Stalker).

The only good thing was the last DLC and that's about it, and that's where the next metro is going towards america.

Remove all QTEs, long cinematics and scripted events. Wouldn't even be Metro without that shit, so that's never going to happen.

Which is why I don't give a shit about Metro 4.

tons of exploration, incredibly gritty atmosphere, the innovative gasmask mechanic.

When i first played Metro 2033 in 2010. My mind was blown away and I was quite young that time. one of the greatest gaming experience for me.

the game is masterpiece.

Gunplay needs to be like exodus but I hated the fact how enemies gave up so easily.

Have already mentioned this, but i will mention it yet again.

1- GTFO with that shitty/fake russian Accent and garbage voice acting in general. I am so tired of this. We don't need to hear a fake Russian accent when playing in English. Come the fk on.

2- The story is just complete garbage. Was decent in 2033, but the other two, it was trash. Do something about it.

3- I liked the open world of Exodus, but i don't know if it fits Metro. Maybe if they keep it semi open, fill the map with a bunch of different enemies. I don't want to be fighting 2 enemy kinds on every corner of the map, its boring af.

4- If you can't create faces that don't look completely messedup and have wooden animations, please mask everyone's face with something. These shitty facial animations are ruining my immersion since 2033.

Series? Off the top of my head: Team Fortress, Quake, System Shock (probably), Left 4 Dead, TimeSplitters, Fallout, Metroid Prime.. if you didn't say "series" I could think of many more.

thats why I said series. fallout is RPG, timesplitter is cartoonish childish game where you shoot monkeys.
