Whats better Resistance Fall Of Man or Halo 3?

I want Resistance cause it looks really cool but people seem to have mixed feelings on it. Is it better than, worse or about even to Halo 3

PS3 controller is horrible?? You might have a preference but PS3 controller is nowhere close to horrible. I've used both and both controllers are great but not perfect. I like the triggers a bit better on the X360.

Resistance is good. Halo is very good. Call of Duty 4 is great. They're both really good games :) Resistance is worth a buy, not quite for the PS3 but if you already have one it's worth picking up.

Resistance has a more patchwork 'story' but I have to say the singleplayer experience is better while the Halo has more of that hollywood feel. Resistance battles tend to be bigger with crazy styled weapons (auger ftw) but Halo battles are much..smoother.

Yup, I wasn't talking about dialogue. Look at Gordon Freeman. He's silent, yet he whips the pants off of all of the chatty main characters in FPS's. Master Chief is just a more iconic figure than bald headed Nathan Hale.

yeh ps3 controller is horrible for fps coz its trigger (or whatever they are) and stick layout (and the stick design is kinda crappy, they are way too light and my thumbs dont feel comfortabe on them), yeh 360 pad has bad D-Pad but i barely use it, only used in cod4 for nightvision or C4/Claymores.....maybe theres less then 1 in 50 games i play in cod4 in which instead of equipping C4 i turn the nightvision on and ive never died coz of that

That's why 99% of the time good developers map shooting to R1 and aim down the sight to L1 or R3. And I like the stick layout for shooters personally :)

Plus master chief is overrated. halo is great, master chief isn't. He reminds me of someone out of Tron.

Some of the best games, like System Shock had the same way of telling a story. It's like you were finding it as you go along, instead of someone telling it to you, so it felt more immersive and personal. Same thing for Bungie's Marathon.

Which ones did you read? Fall of Reach was excellent, but they dropped in quality significantly after that one.

My thoughts Exactly.

It's all a matter of preference really.

If you like a rehashed garrish eyesore with a miniscule single player experience that has an abysmal story, with an even worse ending, then play Halo 3.

If you like a well-designed generic shooter with a color scheme that won't murder your eyes and a single player mode that lasts for at least 10-12 hours, which complemented by a decent story, then get Resistance.

You have slightly more options with Halo 3's multiplayer setup, but Resistance is a more than worthy rival.

The Halo books are no great pieces of literature and wont win any awards anytime soon, but they're definitely readable. And they do a lot more backstory to the games.

I've never really heard anyone say that. Maybe the 12 year olds on the Halo board but never on SW. He's not the best, but IMO he was just plain bad ass and awesome to see in action. His backstory was very interesting too if you read the novels.

Its embarrasing that i seem to enjoy games that have the most rabid fanboys. FF7 and Halo for starters! I like a game for what it is, but i dont go over the top saying every aspect of it beats every other media etc.
