what was the first game this generation that truely shocked u graphicaly.

for me it was bioshock it was the first game this generation that when i play it i was shocked of how amazing the graphics where. i remember when the game started and u are in the water i thought it was still a cut scene, when i found out it was gameplay graphics i was like omfg i could not believe it.

This. But I also play on a SDTV. When I played CoD4 on my cousins massive HDTV, I was amazed. When I took Gears 2 over to my cousins, my jaw dropped.

Then Read Dead Redemption. Far Cry 2 in places.

I remember being super impressed with oblivion and especially Graw when i bought my 360 in the beggining of 2006. Then a year later i peed my pants at quality of Goews graphics.

Theres been nothing since then has really leaped out for me really.

Yup. Character models are bleh but everything else looked superb. There was another image of a jungle that im looking for, it looked amazing.

When it comes to textures, Rare cannot be matched.

Oblivion... even though I really dont like the game, I was floored by the visuals when it launched.

Gears of War on the 360 amazed me.

Then I played the PC version when that came out and I was even more amazed.
