What is Xbox/Switch's Hard Counter to Guilty Gear Strive (Best 2D looking fighter ever made)

Another day another f*ing fighter exclusive on playstation and on PC only. Its not on the switch and its not on xbox.

It got 9 at IGN they called the best looking 2d fighting game ever made. Its from Arc Systems the DBZ Fighterz guys.

Is this an issue or not street fighter 5 still not on switch and still not on xbox now this? What is going on here?

This isn't your grandma's fighter its a hardcore fighting game that people talk about at card shops and niche hardcore places filled with video game players.

I had a group guys at my local card shop and all the played was guilty gear and only guilty gear!

This thing is huge in the niche fighter community xbox needs this and switch needs it. People are talking about it period. People want this game. Its the king of fighters.

I remember they had a 2 arcade sticks and case with a ps4 in it and a tv screen like a briefcase japanese people rock man.

It is available on three platforms. Why is a "counter" needed?

When you don't have a game on your system like xbox or nintendo you need to compete. PC and Playstation are competing cause they both have this its up to nintendo and microsoft to make something equal to this on their platforms to counter it.

Gamers can just play it on their PC. You forgot, everyone games on their PC. 😎

None cause there is no fighting community on either system bar the absolute toxic smash bros fandom.

This is a game I really want, never properly played the series but it's right up my alley.

The PlayStation systems are my fighting game platform besides Dead or Alive which I play on Xbox.

Nobody will buy it on PS5. Why does that need to be countered?

I love fighting games, Guilty Gear series is one of them! That said, I'll get it on PC when its on a sale of course. Couldn't careless if its coming to Xbox consoles.

They don't have one. Xbox doesn't have a counter for anything.

When Xbox released games way back when on PC but not on other consoles it wasn't an exclusive and no matter how I tried to explain it was still exclusive to Microsoft I got shot down.

Now its on PS (cross gen) and PC its ok to call it an exclusive.

PS5 is stronger than my PC and I prefer to play fighters on big tv screens not on my monitor

This is great for fighting game fans but sadly, I'm no longer one of them. I have one of each of my favorite fighting game series on PS4 and thus PS5 with the exception of Killer Instinct for obvious reasons.

There isn't one. Nintendo dudes only like Smash, and MS has to settle for MK for a fighting itch. Is Killer Instinct even supported anymore?

KI is still a great game! And technically, Strive is only one of a handful of fighting games since KI released back in 2013 that has implemented good roll-back netcode. Just because Strive is new, doesn't mean it is better. Still though, I do want to try Strive.

Arc System Works attention to detail, anyway you cut it, is remarkable. Literally every frame-per-frame is thought out.

If I never saw anything Anime for the rest of my life, I would be completely content. Why would I be interested in an Anime style fighting game?

e.g. Street Fighter II, when this was released (huge) anime was relatively niche' in the West. Late night shit on sci-fi you watched at 3am or imported from a specialist.

its 3rd party game thats also on PC, wont be surprised if it comes to xbox or switch later tbh. As far as counter? i mean both switch and xbox have fighter z another great ARC game...

Why would Nintendo need a counter. Guilty gear will not sell one tenth of what Smash sold and continues to sell. Kinda feels like that is more than enough to "counter" guilty gear. (not that I believe in the idea of needing to counter a game that wont even sell a million units.)

On the up side, Guilty gear looks REALLY good. I might pick it up on PC at some point!
