Many reasons. (Diversity, no paying for online on a partially unused system, low costs in one generation, most options, least policies and annoyances.) Unless you absolutely NEED to play Forza/sports stuff or you're a millionaire who doesn't care much about money, you guys are crazy if you pay for PS4/X1 online play when only used sporadically just to add some extra shooters to your library saturated with shooters.
The one you didn't list; PC + Wii U. The Wii U will get a more diverse exclusive library from the first party, second party, and third party than compared the the PC/PS4/XONE multiplat fillfeast of the others.
PC+Wii U by far. This gives you the best exclusives, best multiplats, and free online all in a relatively low-priced package. The only thing you really miss would be sports games. If you are a sports game junkie, the Vita might be a better alternative than the Wii U, assuming you won't need PS+ to play the Vita online.
Probably not ps4/xbox one(I learned that this gen with ps360...), I will go with ps4 and pc with ps4 and wiiu as a close second. Xbox one belongs in the same landfill that ET has claimed...
I have a gaming PC, a Wii U, a PS4 and Xbox One on preorder. But if I had to choose a duo it would be PC+Wii U. That will get you the widest spectrum of gaming.

The PS4 and Xbox One are too much a like. Tons of shooters and sports titles. The Wii U is the only place you can get Nintendo's first party titles. I fell like I would miss more not getting a Nintendo console than I would not buying from Nintendo or Sony. For me consoles are for exclusives.

If that were in-fact the only games coming to the WiiU, I'd agree. Â Of course that is extremely far from the truth, nullifying the point you were trying to make.
Nintendo platforms are great as secondary platforms. Â You get plenty of games you wont find anywhere else. Â Owning a PS3 and a 360 was very redundant as the libraries were almost identical. Â Add PC to the mix and it gets even worse. Â I preffered the PS3 exclusives and the PC for overall functionality and better multiplats. Â This rendered the 360 as almost useless for me and made the Wii far more attractive.
As much as I want to be make a trio of PCStationU I go with PCU.. Seems like the most varied game experiences, being as Wii U will probably be doing it own thang, and PC will be snagging a ton of great games, as as well the major multiplats of the two consoles.
X1+ PC for me. Why would hermits want a ps4? There's only a couple exclusives at launch the rest are multiplats/PC leftovers.Karnage108
It is getting 100 PS4 games in the first year; 40 of which have exclusive experiences. Sony is also making 30 games for the PS4, 20 of which will release within a year of launch with 12 of them being new IPs.
Was a manticore le pc, 360, ps3, wii, ds, and psp at one point. I learn that there isn't enough money, time, and attention to give to all the platform.
