yes, the only reason is overrateness. a lot of people talk about cod, so is cod an awesome game? FF7 is only where it is because it was the first to have 3d graphics, thats why people loved the game so much, because people were playing FF6 then they played FF7 and they got the first "new gen" final fantasy which was a huge step forward in comparison to FF6 (technically, because FF6 is superior in every other sense)

Or they just like FFVII. It was not my first Final Fantasy, nor was it my first JRPG. It is however, my favorite of the ones I've played, though I have not played FFI-FFVI or FFXIV.

it was awesome, great story, I can understand why people dont like though, not everyone is into teasing romantic stories I liked it, until the very, very end.. in which it went all happy and ruined it. :( ~the whole game, until the last 50% of the last cinematic is wonderful imo.

really? I thought that the ending was great...at least they didnt teased anymore, like when squall went all loco when rinoa got into coma and then she wakes up and squall is like "ok whatever" instead of just telling her how he felt, I really wished I could enter the game and hit squall with a leadpipe until he told rinoa he loves her
