NoodleFighter mentioned this on Mortal Kombat thread. Who are these women? Are they bad for gaming?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Attractive female Twitch streamers who actively go out of their ways to use their attractiveness to get more donations.
Eh. We all do what we can to do what we must. There's a market for it, they're using it to make a living, good for them.
They are bad but the kinda bad that you the world needs lol
And cant really stop. Just try to make sure your daughter doesnt end up that way
Sex will always sell
Women that make sure their cleavage and figure are angled right at almost all times are twitch thots
They make sure their voices gets super sexy at least once a stream and all types of other antics lol
Just like strippers earth wouldn't be earth without em lol
Just women using their bodies to get money from people. It's prostitution without penetrating.
What do they actually do? Noodle Fighter said they only play F2P games on Twitch, but does Twitch actually pay them out right? Trying to understand what the craze is. Pardon the ignorance.

If you sub to them, Twitch pays the sub fee and takes 30% from it. You can use twitch bits to give them that are like Steam cash card money wich twitch takes again a % and some actually have paypal to give them directly money.
Heard 1 chick made 200k to move to the US and buy a house.

The craze is boobs. They often make sure to wear sexy outfits with lots of cleavage and angle the camera so viewers can always see them.
Twitch don't pay them any more than standard stuff. They're just after extra donations from viewers.

Yeah, they play games, and get donations from people. Highest donator gets to be the "stream boyfriend". Shit like that, it's gross.

We all gotta start somewhere.

Some go as far as dancing seductively, playing with phallic objects and even body painting. Some don't even play games or have a game playing in the background. Now that Twitch has an IRL section a lot of them just hang around their now so they don't even have to pretend to be gamers. Twitch does provide theses girls special privileges as guys that try to do the same thing or call out these girls get banned.
Guys, just did a google search about this matter! Never heard this term until today. This is not a good look guys. Found this article https://www.polygon.com/2018/6/27/17506414/amouranth-twitch-thot-streamer-cosplayer-alinity-backlash
calling these women Twitch Thot seems derogatory. Are they only just playing games or are doing something sexual that should be reported. It seems they are just women streaming games. What’s the issue?
@Coolyfett: Bruh, there 100% are Twitch thots on every night around 10PM EST. And no they aren’t bad for gaming, lol. That’s a dumb ass question. Go to Twitch and look in the “just chatting” category after dark. There’s a reason Cinemax doesn’t show softcore anymore. You can get it on Twitch for free

Eh. Inconsistent application of rules is a common thing on the internet. You know how it is. Amazon don't give a flying shit as long as they get that "engagement" and the money continues to flow. Once it reaches critical mass and there's a big ole' outcry parade, they'll do a little damage control and go back to counting the dollar bills.
It's just the way it is.

A little bit. That said, if it quacks like a duck...
As I said, I personally have no problems with them - I just simply choose to not partake. We all gotta make a living somehow, and these girls have cornered their little niche of the market. Good for them. I don't care.
@Coolyfett: Don't let that article fool you. While it does suck and is wrong for the actual legit girl gamers to be called Twitch thots, girls like Amouranth are though. She knows exactly what she is doing.
"People don’t donate to me because they think it improves their chances with me in some romantic way…"
Yes they do and she knows it which is why for a long time she made sure to never mention her boyfriend or have him on screen. Once it was revealed that she did have a boyfriend, a ton of her followers got pissed about it saying they felt led on.
Twitch's guideline claims that sexually suggestive content and activities is forbidden but the actions of most these Twitch thots going unpunished and even partnered contradict it.

As long as it is profitable to keep these girls around (and I assume get their personal "portfolios" :P) Twitch will let them do just about anything but get naked and penetrated.
It's just an interactive beer commercial or any magazine cover you subscribe to because the meat plays a video game instead.
Somehow, this gives the right a moral panic. I guess it's only okay to use sex to sell a product when the product isnt yourself or a video game. When you figure that part out, you let me know.

Pretty funny those dummies at Polygon where trying to label her as sexually harassed when a worker at the gym was basically telling her to stop filming herself.
She complains as well about attracting weirdos. I mean, when you're entire existence of making money is flashing your camel toe, what exactly do you expect? It's the fucking Internet.
I thought it was gonna be some meme. Like to do something weird on Twitch to get followers, like planking. I guess I wasn't that far off.
This thing makes gamers look even worse than the shady reputation they've gathered over the years. I once saw a situation on Twitch with 70, 000 viewers of some well-endowed girl who doesn't know how to play a game vs 17 viewers watching a dedicated gamer who's a pro.

Of course. Men like boobs. It's genetically programmed by god.
It's not our fucking fault.
After many responses, how is this ever relevant to System Wars? Is the Games Discussion forum ever used on GameSpot?
I got no problem with them. The guys who give them thousands of dollars for no reason are gullible and stupid and deserve to be scammed. I’ll check out a Twitch thot for a minute or two to admire her body and lose interest and move onto a real gamer’s Twitch channel. I honestly don’t know how people get off on watching girls that don’t even take their clothes off. There are tons of porn sites with girls that actually get naked on cam that are totally FREE.
A "THOT" stands for "That Ho Over There" and it generally refers to a female who is using her sexuality to get what they want.
So a girl on Twitch that tries to get a lot of views by having her boobs hanging out is a THOT. If a woman is sitting at a bar with her g-string riding up a bit and ass sticking out in an effort to get guys to buy her drinks, that is a THOT.
*HAhahaha found a good definition of THOT:
If women are products, then thots are cheap goods. More than that, they’re knockoffs: low-quality merchandise that attempts to masquerade as luxury items.
They generally dress in cheap clothing, try to act like they're better than they really are, or think they're not trashy but high class when they're nothing close to classy. They demand respect, money, gifts, dates but do nothing to deserve any of it because they have no self-respect, no manners, low self esteem, little education and on top of all that are slutty because they have no self worth.

I ask myself that on over half these threads.
They're like Instagram models and youtubers. A way to get quick money. I don't know about Instagram models but I know that for new youtubers it takes some time to make money.
Lolz never knew that was a thing!:)
Anyway I will never for the life of me understand why men will donate money to some random girl with a tight shirt on... doesn’t these people know what pornhub is???:)
Yea, like, there are actual, like... deserving charities.

The power of boobs can do fantastical things.

That's what I think too. When they don't claim tax that's wrong but offering a service to a market isn't. There would be a lot of guys who would do it if they could (and there are for actual cams). They can make some serious bank from it.
