What if GTA 5 flops?

Would we all be owned? I personally didn't preorder for a number of reasons. 1. it's made for current gen consoles, so how much better can it get? 2. there's probably going to be a PC version. 3. No real pre-order incentives, might as wait and see.

it wont, I can't see it with the kind of $$ invested and hype behind it.  Sad but those two things hold more weight behind it than even the actual quality of the game for most review sites that depend on endorsements.   

If the game somehow manages to flop on GS you better believe they only do it to follow trend if most every other site ends up flopping it was well.

It's so sad :(

I doubt it will flop as Rockstar has pretty much just been doing the same games with different skins since GTA 3, and they have the formula down quite well. The only way it will flop (and by that I mean not get a 10/10 or some other absurdly high score) is if reviewers take points off for the game not taking any real risks or changing up the gameplay in any signficant manner.

I'll laugh at people losing sleep and crying about it on the Internet instead of playing it, while enjoying every minute of it myself.

From what we've seen, and what we know, it wont be bad. It wont be average. It'll be great. Whether it gets the score people think it will is only relevant if you're an idiot. Will it be enjoyable? Almost certainly yes. And if it isn't, don't panic, because it's not the last game in the world ever being released so don't worry about it. If you're a reasonable sort you will be pretty forgiving of certain things, such as minor bugs (consider the size) and mini games you don't like but can ignore.

Things I don't want to see:

Annoying texts and calls from people nagging you to play f*cking bowling.

In game girlfriends who go off you if you don't check in with them every five minutes.

Broken gameplay.

As long as I don't see the last one we will be okay, if we don't get the two others it's going to rate very highly with me.

I come here because of the great users in System Wars.

Sometimes I care about reviews. This would be one of the times that I do not.

Oh, and since we have no hype polls, and most likely will not have one for this game, it can't flop.

It will not be that huge of deal becasue it is not exclusive. What will be bigger is if it gets a 10. That would be 3 AAAA's for ps3, AAAA for 360, 1 AAAA for wii, and  none for PC.

I'd chuckle and then proceed to play the absolute crap out of it.

I mean, we already know it's gonna be bounds better than GTAIV based off a lot of information thus far, and I loved GTAIV. At this stage I'd be amazed if I was disappointed.

Really the only ones who will be around to even discuss it would be the Nintendo fanboys and for a short time the PC fanboys. Everyone else will just be too busy playing it to even bother paying attention to anything else.
