What game should Insomniac make next?

Give me something new.

Marvel is played out from over-saturation and R&C has run its course. Don't care about the other games.

I don't think they'll do another Sunset Overdrive, mainly because of the sales performance.

But I think they should do another Resistance game. It'll be a positive add to the Playstation library and it'll be a nice change from 3rd person action games.

Would love a new sunset overdrive as I love these open world wacky gta games. R&C I would definitely play, buuut would greatly prefer them to try a new IP!

Sony could use some more platformers.

New IP.

New IP cause Marvel is getting oversaturated and I say this as an MCU fan. Make something new!

They are making Wolverine and it is going to be a looker.

An X-Men game because despite what most the people in this forum say , you can count the big budget Marvel games on one hand.

Ratchet and Clank is a given, that franchise isn't going anywhere. The last two games on PS4 and PS5 sold incredibly well.

I would like to see Sunset Overdrive 2 and Resistance 4, a Resistance reboot or even a Resistance remastered port or remake of the PS3 trilogy but I don't know if these things will ever happen based on the sales of these games in the past. I do think a lot of Sony's older IPs could thrive in today's free-to-play market, though.

My best guess is they will continue to do Marvel games as those are the best selling games in Insomniac's entire history but if my vote had any sway I would go with Resistance.

I never reconed much to Insomiacs games TBH. I got Sunset Overdrive in a bundle I got from Humble, I think it was the Ukraine one they had not long ago. I was looking forward to it a bit too, but after playing it I thaught it was absolute shite. I really enjoyed Spiderman though, its easily the best Spiderman game imo, perhaps even the second best superhero game after Freedom Force. As for what they should make next.. Id prefer they surprise us with something original.

I think Sunset Overdrive deserves a revisit.

Wouldn't mind a new Resistance akin to the first.

I thought folks hated Sunset Overdrive. I am not sure where they can go with the story with version 2.

Gunna have to vote for my usernamesake, the next Ratchet and Clank. I’ve always loved these games, Rift Apart was a lot of fun, although I wish they would go back to the sense of humour the first 3 games had.

Sunset Overdrive over Resistance easily. If anybody should revive a Sony FPS it should be Guerrilla with Killzone.

Always interested in fresh new IP, but a Resistance reboot could be neat.

New IP, but... don't really care lol. Always found their games to be mid+. Or bare minimum good™? Like yep, you made a solid game. Nothing really bad about it. Just not great either. Can always depend on Insomniac for a well put together game that excels at nothing.

Have not played Rift Apart tbf. Just can't imagine it takes R&C to new places, even if it looks (visually) awesome.

A good video game for once would be a nice change of pace. Lets try pulling one of those off.

Almost every game they've made since Disruptor in 1996 has been a win. Their only misses were the Ratchet and Clank multiplayer spin off titles and Fuse.

I would like to see a Sunset 2, it would be interesting to see it done in a full Sony AAA budget.

A new IP is always the answer. But realistically a sequel to Spiderman and Wolverine would be the most likely. It would be nice to see a Resistance remake.

A new RPG IP.

They make great games that are always full of creativity and humor, I'd love to see a hilarious RPG from them.

That'd be fun. RPG's can be funny, but one focused especially on humor would be cool. The South Park games were kind of fun but they were not exactly really in-depth RPG's

Sunset Overdrive 2. 1st game is my pick for most underappreciated game of last gen.

A Resistance reboot could be interesting.

Thought Spiderman was boring and I have low expectations for Wolverine.

Ratchet and Clank is in the running for series with most entries since the ps2 era, 1 per console is good enough now.

Man this is a hard one I love insomniac games.

Resistance I hope not this is my least wanted one out of anything. I hate FPS they all play the same and I cant stand first person view.

Ratchet and clank is my second favorite video game franchise just slightly behind zelda. I think it was a good thing they slowed down on thought because its hard to make a game yearly without it being a buggy mess or like to much of the same thing. At the same time I dont want only 1 ratchet game this gen like how ps4 had. If we got a trilogy of games this gen that would be great.

Sunset over drive 2 would be cool I never played the first one its the only game xbox has had in its 21 years that I have wanted to play.

A new IP would be good because new IP are always nice to get. We get a lot of video game sequels and such just like how movies do because its less of a risk because you already have the built in fan base meaning you basically now its going to sale. So I get why but still nice to get new IP to change things up.

My pick is kind of a toss up between ratchet and a new IP but I voted ratchet.

I also wonder how many teams they have. It sounds like they have at least 3 teams. The people who made miles Morales are making wolverine and the team who made spiderman are making spiderman 2 so that is 2. The team who made ratchet I belive is a different team and we also have them making some kind of multiplayer game. So do they have 4 teams? I wonder what in the heck it is and how long its been worked on for? I have not been able to find any info about the multiplayer game other than job postings about it.

Out side of spiderman 2 and Wolverine I think we will get spiderman 3 this gen. They also have some kind of Multiplatform game. That would mean at minimum this gen is likely going to end up having the following games from them.

Spiderman miles Morales, ratchet and clank rift apart, spiderman 2, Wolverine, Multiplayer game.

That would be 5 games this gen thats pretty good an its likely going to be more sense they have multiple teams Maybe we get at least 1 more ratchet game to go with those other 5 games. Going to be interesting for sure.

Once Call of Duty goes Xbox exclusive in the future, they should work on more Resistance games to fill in the gap :P

Why is there going to be a Spider-Man 2? People really wanna explore the city they've already explored for twenty hours again at 70 dollars?

That's exactly what Sony do. They love to charge money again for playing same thing.

However if they put Spiderman in a different location I'd be all over it.

I'm enjoying the game overall and I'm only at 37% played.

Resistance 2 was amazing back in (09?). Would love a Resistance 4, even though I do not really like FPS games.

When cod goes full first party to ms Sony should without a doubt bring back resistance.

R3 was my favorite.

A new IP or an X-Men game. If anyone could pull off a quality X-Men game, it is Insomniac. They have made 1st person, platformers, and 3rd person action games, and I have enjoyed them all to a degree. I was not a fan of R&C Reboot, but every other game in the series was awesome. I love Marvel's Spider man and Miles Morales. Resistance was a great game for me and my friends. I trust I will like what they make next.
