What current gen game(s) made it to your all-time favorites list?

I have three games that come to mind:

• Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - pretty much the closest thing to Ocarina for me.
• Bloodborne - 4k 60FPS PS5 plz.
• Dragon Quest 11S - one of my favorite JRPGs list. Persona 5 is a good contender too, but I find DQ11S to be the better game. Will see what happens when P5R and FF7R come out.
• Forza Horizon 3/4 - the best arcade sim in my opinion

Plenty of good and memorable stuff came out this gen.

Among these games Witcher 3, Starcraft 2 LOTV and Isolation stuck with me the most. One of the best RPGs, strategy and horror games ever.

Honorable mention A: Shadow of war. Maaaan that ending. So memorable and a great game overall.

Honorable mention B: The Evil Within 2. So much better than the first one. Immersive atmosphere and great stealth based, sandbox horror.

That really may be it, as I don't game as heavily as I used to, so a lot of gems have no doubt flown by.

Super Mario Odyssey, Inside & Neir Automata all made it into my top 10 games of all time list. And I'm still trying to decide whether Witcher 3 or Red Dead 2 made the list too (I keep swapping between them). But one of them did too.

Monster Hunter World and Nier Automata are the only ones that comes to my mind, but I'm not sure if they will be in my top 10, but definitely Nier Automata's Soundtrack is one of my all time favorites.

It's difficult to make my list so it's impressive when one makes it.

Rocket League, maybe Neverwinter or Super Mario Maker 2... ummm... yeah. Perhaps there are a couple I can't think of. Although I didn't think this gen was bad I wouldn't exactly call it good either.. in this category I mean.

These would also make the top 20 - Shadow of the Colossus remake , The Last of Us Remastered , God of War III Remastered , Uncharted 2 Remastered. They all hold up well , and gave me so much enjoyment as replays all over again. .

Honestly probably just Bloodborne. The faster melee works amazingly well in this game.

@SolidGame_basic: To me, there isn't a limit on an all-time list, so as long as a game was special to you, it's worthy. If we're talking top 25 though, then yeah, I'd probably only consider Rodea, Witcher 3, Yakuza 0 and Persona 5 for that, and Sonic Mania is the only one I'd put in the top 3 or 5.

Alien Isolation

Far Cry 5

Probably just BOTW and Persona 5.

Titanfall - the first one, not the sequel.

Halo MCC and Halo 5. Superb multiplayer that keeps you coming back.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Sue me, I like the multiplayer.

Forza Horizon 3/4. The perfect arcade racer franchise.

WoW Classic. Yes, it sucked me back in to the golden years of the game.

Banished, Kerbal Space Program and that's it. The AAA studios haven't delivered anything innovative this time around...run jump shoot rehash. Bleh.

Hollow Knight is better, but Ori is great as well. I have only given 2 games a 9 this gen (The Witcher 3 and Hollow Knight). Everything else was 8 or lower. Ori is an 8. So, still one of the top games of this gen, but doesn't make my top all time list.

Respectfully disagree, but both games are great. Ori's platforming is superior, but HK's fights and atmosphere are better imo.

I've been pretty negative about this gen, but looking at my list, this gen was actually pretty neat. A bit dissapointed with Nintendo, they could do more. Both main Zelda and Mario were awesome at least.

• The Evil Within 1 & 2 - Shinji is a legend! Hardcore survival horror 'was' back.
• Uncharted 4 - Weird to list it. MP and coop was letdown but SP was cool (Nadine aside)
• Horizon Zero Dawn - Aloy is downright horrible, but graphics king and not a bad game.
• Resident Evil 2 - Remake has brought back survival horror! Good job Capcom.
• Killzone SF - Best multiplayer on PS4 no question.
• The Witcher 3 - The king! My highest rated game this gen.

It ain't over yet. RE3 is coming and i got a feeling it could be real good. Still have big back log of games, Fallout 4, DQXI, SotC Remake that can make the list.

alas one has not had the pleasure. it's been sat on my steam wishlist for yonks, just not taken the plunge for some reason
