What are your top 3 game franchises of all time?

• Metal Gear Solid: as time passes, MGS seems to be more and more behind us, but make no mistake, this is one of the greatest franchises of all time. The original MGS set the bar for cinematic games, except MGS wasn't formulaic or followed some kind of pre-approved script. This is Kojima at his finest, before he lost a few screws in his brain. MGS 2 is also a classic, and while I would've preferred another game with Snake, its story was prophetic for its time. And the writing and dialogue are amazing.
• Bayonetta: a timeless classic, Bayonetta is one of the best action game franchises of all time. Several years later, I can still play this game and enjoy it just as much as I did the first time. This an overall charm to this franchise, it oozes style, has compelling characters, and is just fun. We need this Platinum, not the Platinum that is making mobile and live service games. Oh, and here's to hoping some day Bayonetta will become multiplat again.
• Legend of Zelda: not a perfect fanchise in my opinion, but Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild are and were amazing games for their time. There's a sense of awe when playing these games. Exploration and environment play a big part of that, and so does the music. Entering a Shrine in BotW is one of the coolest experiences. Encountering a Guardian is also another unforgettable experience. And of course there's the actual gameplay and story, although BoTW lacked in the dungeon department. Hopefully the next one won't!

• Doom: Its only franchise in history where all 5 main games are masterpieces. original Dooms revolutionize FPS genre and and FPS used to be called Doom clone. Doom 3 was one of the best FPS of its time and one of the best Horror game. Doom 2016 and Eternal are 2 of best FPS games of all time along with Half life and STALKER. There has never been a series like this before. Perfect 10/10 series.
• Half-Life: If this franchise exist than it would have been best one but it doesnot exist today. but otherwise Half life 1 and 2 like Dooms among the best FPS games of all time bar none.
• Hitman: Best Stealth franchise Exist today now ended on good note. among all movie games crap in third person prespective. this game is the one among all third person games. Hitman series have multiple way to complete a mission and have some of the best level design ever made in history. although it has 2 bad games. 1 is original and other is absolution but bar that every game is masterpiece.

Halo/Gears/Forza. lolol :P

Tekken and Devil May Cry are the only franchises (with 5 or more games) where I have bought every entry I believe.

Dark Souls and Metroid are pretty much consistent with being my favorite franchises.

I'll leave out the third choice since that one usually rotates.

I simply enjoy these games because they are the top of their respective genres, and I can pick up these games at any time and start having fun.

Most definitely. I never had problems with Uncharted 4 to begin with. But if I'm being honest, Lost Legacy was a better Uncharted game than 4 but at the end of the day, Uncharted 2 is still the Goat! I like Uncharted series as much as I like the latest Tomb Raider series which I forgot to add. (I'm kinda intrigued on the Uncharted movie that's coming soon though)

Out of all, probably Final Fantasy and Persona. Love these 2 franchise so much, played most of the games in the series.

And my third would be Suikoden. Deliberating it and souls but decided Suikoden cause I dont care about Elden Ring, which probably is another souls game...

I gotta throw Super Smash Bros. in the mix as well. I sometimes forget just how invested I am in the series, and my respect for Sakurai's dedication to video games. I can't not give the series a shout-out.

hmm hard to say. a franchise that is consistently great is rare.

probably total war, zelda and Monster hunter maybe. those are 3 series where i dont think i have played a game in them that i would call bad (though zelda 2 exists....:S). i havent played every game in those series either in fairness.

Actually half life is also worth a mention...there are no bad half life games (wish there was more though :( ).

i was about to say metroid prime but federation force exists and with metroid as a whole there is also other M....ouch. Metroid prime 1-3 are brilliant though and Samus returns is solid.

Ys games are also good (wrapped up IX last weekend finally). origin is the worst one i have played but its still pretty good.

Uncharted is at the top. The characters are great. The gameplay is fun. The adventures are epic. I would like to see it continue. Regardless of long lasting rumors, I don't see it happening.

Mass Effect is second. Very happy to have been able to re-add the main trilogy to my collection again via the Legendary Edition. Really excited to see what the upcoming game will give us.

Resident Evil is third. Honestly, it may not stay here much longer but I enjoyed the series tremendously from the 1996 original to the 2009 5th entry. Side games were a mix bag. Series has since plummeted.
