I have a few I can think of!

  • Hate it when I'm exploring an area and I felt like I missed something. So if I see a spot on the map that's clouded/covered, I have to check it out!
  • Not finishing a campaign once I've put a good amount of time into it. I've eased up on this over the years, but I used to hate not finishing a game. Even if I was hitting a point where I wasn't liking it all that much.
  • Doing side quests/side activities as they appear. I don't like the idea of doing the main quest first and coming back for the side content. I feel like if I did that, I wouldn't bother going back.

How about you, SW? What are your gaming OCD habits?

1. I have to play everything on the highest difficulty or the game feels incomplete.

2. Games i like, i have to 100% them or my life feels incomplete.

I think that's it, but i might've forgotten something.

These... Plus, losing health in games. It hasn't happened yet, but if it ever does my ego wouldn't be able to handle it.

During a cut scene, I always take a sip of water. I don't know how I developed that habit, but it feels weird if I don't do it.

I like to get all the achievements, doesn't always work out that way, but that's the idea I have when going into a game. But I will finish it first, then either go back and mop up everything or start a new playthrough if I need to.

Scouring levels for healthpacks when I'm not at 100% health.

Kinda like reloading your weapon when you have one bullet missing from the clip.

Stopped myself playing SF6 after handing Capcom £50 (very clever), didn't want to make Champ look bad. He's now better, because I let him.

Extremely considerate.

I have a penchant for completing all achievements in games, although it doesn't always pan out that way. Regardless, that's my mindset when starting a new game. Typically, I aim to complete the main storyline first, and then I'll either go back to complete any remaining tasks or embark on a fresh playthrough if necessary.

For real? you must be bloated after playing a Kojima game.

Lol really? Haven’t heard that one before. I do the reloading thing for sure, especially in COD Multiplayer.

Can’t really think of any to be honest. I only play as much of a game until I feel satisfied. Can be 100% or less. Also have no qualms with playing a game at a difficulty that I feel I get the most enjoyment from it. Can be at the hardest or at the easiest.

I don't play MGS. Konami does have some good franchises though, like Contra.

You could beat every Contra game in history thrice in the time it takes for Kojima to vomit out a single cutscene....
