I usually play games in their highest difficulty both for the platinum and because I really enjoy the challenge. Many Sony games deliver on that front: TLOU 1 and 2, GOW and Uncharted games are great examples.

The gameplay in TLOU is not deep at all. The higher difficulty levels come from bullet sponge enemies taking off more damage. The AI sucks. It's clunky. This is why there are no amazing online TLOU gamers, because everybody can perform at the highest level with a little practice. Scripted animation sequences and control is constantly being taken away from the player, context sensitive moves. Go find the ladder. Set piece central. Weak gameplay for noobs.

Uncharted is well below even TLOU, not even worth discussing this Micheal Bay crap.

Gow has decent combat and otherwise is just a good movie. These games are cannon fodder compared to the Nintendo greats when discussing gameplay.

Interacting with one wave in Wave Race is literally better than anything Sony has ever done.

Let that sink in.

How many more decades until Nintendo has a game that is anywhere near as difficult as GoW2018 on GMGoW?

Sony games lack depth because Sony fans generally need easy and shallow games, they lack the skill and comprehension to play anything with depth to it.

We can all agree on that

Absolutely, Sony and their fans are delusional and don't realize how shallow the trash they're playing is because they lack real gaming iq that comes from playing deep and polished experiences.

Well you can actually get licensed to drive professionally with GT:S so there's that. Bloodborne, Demon Souls and Returnal are pretty challenging as well.

None of those 3 kind of clunky but better gameplay than Sony games were even developed by no gameplay Sony.

Sony owns Housemarque and Sony Japan worked with from software. So you really have no clue what your talking about.

GoW on hard is actually pretty challenging as is TloU 2.

Sony didn't buy Housemarquee until after they developed Returnal. They merely published it. Sony Japan did nothing but make executive decisions for Bloodborne, From developed it. This is a Miyazaki game.

So I guess you have no clue.

WOW! Casey is getting clapped by my fellow cows in his own thread. This is what you get when you don't know what you're talking about. Imagine playing Dread, a game with a 5/10 on a difficulty scale, then begin thinking that Sony titles must be easy because YOU are having a hard time in Dread🤭

They're great examples of games where you're not in full control of the character, who does a bunch of different animations if you push one button during combat sequences. Then the hours of walk and talk baby gaming.

Automated on rails gaming.

Better luck next time.

@casey-wegner: I mean, everyone knows that's not true. Who are you trying to convince? It would be fun making you play a random section in one of these games and slapping you every time you die. LOL.

Cows having nothing to brag about but an Indie game and some Ubisoft ripoff cinematic junk is hilarious. In their entire history, not one game with deep and polished gameplay, that's sad.

The game on the right looks like stupid generic crap and the gameplay is as shallow as a rain puddle as well.

Typical Sony game.

@casey-wegner: Is you entire argument that games from Sony should only be in-house first party projects? You should have said so in your OP. Your incoherent rambling is hard to keep straight sometimes.

Keep talking like the 800 pound elephant in the room is that nobody is making proper lists in this thread because Sony games don't have real gameplay.

@casey-wegner: Many people have mentioned some award winning, top rated, highly regarded exclusive games that are not only memorable but also very entertaining and provide a good challenge when played at the right difficulty. Try again.

It doesn't matter, they're automated cinematic games. Any game can be made more difficult by cranking up the enemy damage without improving the AI. These are shallow games with shallow gameplay.

I use to love playing the first Mototstorm online, some serious white knuckle racing, wins would come down to nailing that nitrous boost explosion at the finish line move.

By your standards Nintendo had nothing to do with Metroid. It was developed by Mercury Steam which is an indie studio in Spain.

Nintendo EPD co developed Dread. Sorry. They probably did more than Mercury Steam judging by the quality.

Gow and TLOU have absolutely laughable automated gameplay. For third person action something like MGSV actually has gameplay that's levels above.

Did you just link wikepedia? Lmao!

It doesn't matter what damage control you use.

Nintendo EPD co developed Dread.

Sony had no part in the development process of Bloodborne, they merely published it.

You're embarrassing yourself here kid.

Wrong.

Call the police there's been a murder.

Why because you're trying to give credit of Bloodborne to anyone but Miyazaki that is still not even close to Nintendo level polish?

@casey-wegner: A dude in his basement can make a better nintendo emulator than nintendo themselves. Is this the level of polish you were talking about? And you're paying for this? What a SCAM LOL
