What are some of your favorite short games (10 hours or less)?

I started to mix some short games into my playlist to make things more interesting as I get through the backlog. I recently played Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons for the first time, and absolutely loved it. It made me realize I'm probably missing out on these shorter bite sized games. So I'm definitely on board with that. What are some of your favorites games, SW? I have other games in my short game backlog like Inside, Limbo, Strider, Mega Man, Cuphead, and more.

Resident Evil 7

Main game unlocks make replays fun....

Plus all the different game modes are all well done, and great in short bursts

Under 10hrs? I don't usually waste money on those games.

Max payne 1 is probably the best short game i have ever played. and probably one of the best game of all time too.

Max payne 1 6 to 8 hours are better than 30 to 40 hours of boring RPG with quest. and this game is biggest proof that game need quality instead of quanity.

and for this generation probably titanfall 2. its short like 4 hours but its great.

max payne 1 worth more money than 40 hours boring RPG like mass effect or witcher.

Lot of people listing games that take 10 hours+ to beat- especially on the first playthrough if you're not using a guide lol. I could only think of a few:

I also think of games that can go forever, or online games you can sink an hour into here and there. The games can't really ever be beaten, but you can set goals along the way-

Call of Duty

Metal Slug.

Mostly indie games.

Hotline Miami 1 and 2, Undertale, MGS 3 and 4, CoD4, Thumper, Strafe, Cuphead, and F.E.A.R.

From the top of my head, Firewatch, SOMA, Cursed Castilla, Mother Russia Bleeds, Shovel Knight, Gone Home, etc, etc...

Streets of Rage, Sonic, NiGHTS, Mega Man, Gunstar Heroes, Guardian Heroes, Alien Soldier, Panzer Dragoon, DoDonPachi, Mushihimesama, Thunder Force, Aleste, etc.

I find that game quite hard. Is it one of those games you have to practice a lot and know inside out. I remember it being a little more trial and error then the 2D Super Mario games. I remember I spent a lot of time on Donkey Kong Country 2 though.

That line of thought is the reason why this industry is drowning with boring open worlds/MMOs made of fetch quests and busy work.

Good 7h > 100+ of repetitive busy work

I recommend Unfinished Swan. Do you like puzzlers? There are tons of good puzzlers. Braid, Limbo, closure (this one's fantastic)

Braid, limbo and Inside are some of my favourite short games.

I consider them must-plays and would recommend them to anyone.

The second one was the only one I properly played. I played the first one at a friends house and on the Game Boy.

I'm playing DKC on the Wii VC and I'm on this level called 'Vulture Culture'. I'm so out of practice lol. Games these days have made me soft. I remember texting a friend asking how he beat the NES Mega Man games, I'm getting my ass handed to me left and right on those.
