What announcements/games do you hope to see at the Video Game Awards (Dec. 10)?

I'm really hoping all of these happen:

• Silent Hill & MGS remake for PS5 are announced and we get a trailer 😮
• Bayonetta 3 damnit, just anything.. they can even rehash the announcement trailer from 3 years ago lol, jk

I'll gladly take more announcements, but if the above are announced and/or shown at the VGA, I will be extremely pleased! How about you, SW? What announcements/games do you hope to see at the Video Game Awards?

Yeah some news from Platinum would be nice. Three year anniversary of the Bayo 3 announcement, show us something. Much more interested in Project GG though, hope we get details on that. I'm sure Bayo 3 will be fun, but it's the Kamiya directed games that are the most inventive and have the slickest combat systems.

Could see that actually happening.

More of a long shot here, but would love to see a new Ninja Gaiden and Splinter Cell announced.

Something from The Initiative. At the moment, this is a "high-end" studio that hasn't shown anything.

Nah, don't think he's ever directed more than one game in a series. Just creates the original, and either works as a supervisor on the sequels or moves on.

Like he didn't direct Bayo 2 either, which is likely why the combat was a bit of a downgrade even if the game is still great.

I don't think it's been confirmed who's directing Bayo 3, but likely not Kamiya. Scalebound was the last game we knew he was directing, and now he's on whatever Project GG is.

Oh yeah, hadn't even considered that. Probably a safe bet too.

Kojima loves hyping his games far in advance, and what better venue than Dorito Pope Palace.

It seems like the overall consensus is that Bayo 2 is better than the original, no? I enjoy both. They're cool in their own way.

As for Project GG, I'm not too crazy about the Super Hero thing, but I know it was big in Japan. I never finished Viewtiful Joe, but I still have it for PS2 lol. Kinda crazy they haven't ported it. Did it do that poorly? Would love to see the franchise come back. But I know GG isn't about that. It's about a big ass Super Hero lol.

Oh shit no haha. To be fair, I feel a lot of action game fans are way too harsh about it if anything. It's still a great game! But yeah, it's a significant regression from Bayo 1 combat, both in mechanics and enemy behavior. Still gets dunked on for it constantly.

Could dump a novel post on the details, but the short of it is that it's far more restrictive game. The biggest offenders being the over-reliance on Witch Time and Umbran Climax being the answer to everything.

But yeah, I can still appreciate both. Even with 2 being the weaker Bayo game, still better than most action games. Just hope 3 takes more cues from 1.

Honestly, when it comes to these games, don't care what it's about. All about the gameplay for me. Can't say I'm into stripper witches or power rangers, still loved Bayo and TW101.

When I first watched the GG trailer, for a sec I thought we'd be playing as the dog. Was totally down for that lol.

This is the kind of show produced for the NA market, long, boring, filled with ads, and bad acting lol.

Rumor has it that a new Mario Golf is in development, and I hope it will be announced cause I kinda miss the dumb series.

Elden Ring, first gameplay reveal and release date for spring 21.

Real question is how will Jeff manage to give Kojima an award? Last year he created a category specially for him but this year he's not even nominated. It's difficult but I believe he can pull it off.

I would definitely love to see anything on Elden Ring as well.

At this point, i would like to see actual Elden Ring gameplay over winning 1mil at the lottery. This sick f*ck Miyasaki has been teasing us for waaaaay too long. I don't approciate it, Lord Miyasaki.

Anything Guerilla games is working on would be a plus but most of the stuff im looking forward too wouldn't be announced at the VGAs.

Really can't wait for what new Mtn Dew flavors will be announced, and the next Magic the Gathering commercial

These are good choices. We know both are in development.

I hope, but I highly doubt, that Ubisoft will make another Splinter Cell or a new Prince of Persia game.

Just a game from them that isn't open world, would be a nice surprise.
