I don't think it will look as good as Drakes Fortune or UC2 running on a big HDTV, but on that smaller screen, sure why not. On that smaller screen they don't have to use anti aliasing and other post processing effects to make it look smooth. They could be using the same optimized engine as UC 2 and 3 uses, if so, I doubt they have alot more to gain in visuals.

Porting games from the PS3 to the PS Vita is suppose to be easier than the PS2 to PSP was.

Ha! Yeah I don't like Drakes Deception either, why not stick with something similar to "Among Thieves"?:? Also, am I the only one who's getting a "James Bond" feel from this game? It feels like a mix of Indiana Jones and James Bond for some odd reason.:P ... At least for me.:P

As for the backpacker Drakes, he looks a lot younger.. I also noticed some options on the screen there, like a camera and all.. Wondering how those will come to play.:D

It does look better than some of the launch ps3/360 games, but there are reasons for that. The dev teams were working with new tech the likes of which none of them were capable of pushing to their limits early on. So even though the Vita is a new system, people know how to get top notch graphics on most current tech. I doubt the vita has as much room to grow from it's launch as did the ps3 or especially the 360 (Perfect Dark comes to mind.

Golden Abyss sounds cool and original. They couldve taken the easy route and named it "Drakes Origins" or something like that. I'm glad they opted for a more original subtitle. drakekratos

What you guys are forgetting is that the Resolution of Vitas screen is higher or equal to most Xbox and PS3 games. Heck the screen is the same resolution as Call of duty black ops on PS3. and i played Black ops in 1080p on the Xbox and it really looked bad (bad textures/muddy textures).

Not just the graphics, but the PSV has a ton of features that really places it above the 3DS. It's got support for Trophies, cross gaming with the PS3, comics, backward compatability with the PSP and PSX, Minis, and a whole lot more. Not to mention, Sony basically NAILED the price at 250 dollars for the Wi-fi model.
The launch line up was far better than the 3DS's launch library too.

Nintendo has got a strong competitor. The 3DS has gotta do far more in order to really compete. I saw RE : Revelations on GT, and truth be told, I wasn't impressed with the gameplay :( I'm still gonna give the game a chance though (after a price drop for the 3DS).

Anyways, I'm happy that new tech is allowing games to up the ante even further :)

the 3ds is extremely underwhelming, last gen graphics, one analog, poor screen resolution, weak multiplayer, no online store, no online chat

I'm not saying UC doesn't look good, 'cause it looks excellent, im saying put it on a larger screen and you WILL see tons of imperfections, and low res textures.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but being a fanboy has nothing to do with it. Presently, for 250 dollars, the PSVita offers far more than the 3DS. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that.
