Valkyria Chronicles getting a new game and a remaster for the PS4

My favorite game is getting a remaster and a new game called Valkyria: Azure Revolution; I'm so hyped that I can have a heart attack any moment; what are your thoughts?

Great news!

But 2 things.

1) Is Valkyria: Azure Revolution sequel to the first game? Because a lot of people, myself included, did not bother with the PSP sequel.

2) Why in the hell are they remastering a remaster? lol :P

most likely a prequel[for valkyria chroncles series or we could learn foundation of Gallia and Bloodline of Cordelia Gi Randgriz]

@remiks00: I bought my PSP just to play Valkyria Chronicles 2, good game, but the characters aren't endearing enough; Thanks to that I played and still playing some awesome games on the PSP such as Patapon, monster hunter, etc.

I'm still waiting for VC3 to have an official release outside of Japan.

Azure Revolution appears to be based in a completely continent with different countries and characters, but it's the same world. Chances are you will be able to skip all previous titles without missing any key plot. Maybe there will be some cameo references.

I'll definitely get the remaster, I never did play it. I'm excited for this.

I loved the first one but never owned a PS3 so I will definitely be picking this up. Won't have to play it at my buddies now.

First Yakuza and now this! Sega is getting back on track.

This is the first time this gen that I really feel like I'm going to miss out on something because I don't have a PS4. Though if the game isn't an SRPG anymore, I'm not really sure how much I'm missing.

This is the first game that has made me consider a PS4. If I can find one cheap when this comes out, I'm all over it.

Edit: Just saw it wasn't a SRPG anymore. No thanks, I am back to not being interested in a PS4.

By the looks of it, they're using VC ip to make a new generic jRPG.

The designs on the new one that i've seen so far are hot garbage too.

That's kinda disappointing why change the gameplay to normal rpg

Remastered criticisms aside.. I would pay full retail if they were to release a remastered Mass Effect trilogy collection that improved the games (especially the first one) and included all the dlc.. As it stands the Mass Effect DLC can not be bought in a bundle and is never on sale, ever..

These fucking games better come over to the States. VC is my favorite PS3 game and I was so distraught when VC3 was never released in the West. I will import if I have to, but I want an English copy...

Took way too long, Sega but this is a step in the right direction (instead of greenlighting horrible games like Sonic Boom).

Just loving' the PS4 more and more each day.

The king is back in its rightful throne and the peasant xbone is far behind where it belongs, this generation is truly great. Rejoice in the glory of Playstation gaming.

Last gen was a disaster for the JRPG genre because the xbox360 took advantage of the early launch and developers were forced to cater to that audience with games revolving around shooting and guns primarily, now it's different thanks to Sony's broader audience.

Personally hoping the new game will head over to Steam. After all, VC managed to outsell Ubisoft's solution to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
