Uncharted: How does it stack up graphically?(56k warning)

There is no denying that Uncharted is the most graphically impressive game to be shown for the PS3. But how does it really stack up against all of the competition?

Yeah, it blows Tomb Raider away.

And yes, I've played Tomb Raider.

Watch the videos of Uncharted, and it is quite obvious. The lushness of the jungle, the smoothness of the animations, the seamlessness in the transition between shooting to hand-to-hand combat to platforming...everything is way beyond Tomb Raider.

And that is my honest opinion. 

btw, you used target renders to compare to Tomb Raider.

To be brutally honest, those pictures look more or less the same as Perfect Dark Zero... I can't say I'm impressed by that game. I will concede that the facial features are more detailed, but seriously, to me this game doesn't look that much different from Perfect Dark Zero in the jungle missions.

I wonder if anyone can explain why a white cotton T-shirt and jeans are as reflective as that guy's belt buckle?

No it does not, this game is on my top fav list, but you can easily see that the old trailer looks better, just compare the old 720p trailer with the new one and you will see it.

The target trailer had no overused lightning and blum effect, a bit better textures, there is also more plant and it's also better looking and it had no jaggies not even a bit, a really strong aa which the current game does not have.

I do like the current graphics, i think that they are th best graphics so far with Crysis but they are downgraded compared to the target trailer.

Agreed. Uncharted is the best looking game I've seen for the PS3 too.

It's also the best looking unreleased console game too. Mass Effect is nice, as is Gears, but neither really compare extremely well to Uncharted. I must admit Crysis definitely looks better than Uncharted. 

Isn't it amazing how good Uncharted is turning out? At first I didn't have high hopes for it at all.

Indeed, in its PRE-RENDERED form it looks amazing, try the real thing that looks like crap though, and Tomb Raider does not seem too bad

360 has overshine too...developers got bad habits with it.

greg...I do not think that I have ever seen you not complain about something graphical about every PS3 game..give it a break heathen bathing ape of the northeastern hemisphere.
