it hasnt been confirmed to only be through best buy or not. Sony has an announcement for inFAMOUS and Uncharted 2 on the 27th, so im sure we'll get more details on this then. i sure it wont only be through best buy
Why. Why does this game need multiplayer? Well....Let's just hope this doesn't ruin the single player experience, like COD 4 for me. At least COD4 mulitplayer was good.

it's not hard to beat gears 2 multiplayer, in fact all uncharted 2 has to do is make sure the game runs properly online then it's already better than gears 2 multiplayer :lol:

(sighs) I just have a bad feeling that this game will have only a short single-player mode with only remotely enjoyable co-op and multiplayer. This is what R2 tried to push into one big package, but it caused the campaign to be shorter and less enjoyable, and the other modes had problems as well. I just hope this actually lives up to its promise, but I doubt that very much.

True, but I hope it's actually a great multiplayer mode. It won't be like Resistance 2, and it may be small, but I also hope it pulls its unique twist on it. Also, if MP and co-op are horrible and the campaign rules, I'll still be satisfied. This isn't supposed to be a MP title, anyway.
Well, Gears 2 online is unpolished as well, so I hope it's a helluva ALOT better than that, and I hope it doesn't encounter R2 technical errors. Seriously, if MP is included in a title, it should be pretty good. Although I'm looking far more into single-player than MP, and Gears can have MP, cause that's it's purpose.
And for co-op, I hope there aren't any zombies. This is the biggest gimmick of co-op games, and it leads me to hate the mode even though it could be great.

the people making this are naughty dog. the quality behind their games is always top notch, so im most positive theres nothing at all to worry about...i honestly dont kno how the competitive online will be, but co op is always fun.

So are Insomniac's, aren't they? Insomniac made the R&C series, AA games. They also made RFOM, and now, R2. R2 was probably the worst game they made.
no sure on that. co-op would be good. i hope they don't put a AI player when a person is playing single player. i don't like games like that, i didn't like what capcom did with resident evil 5. shiva could be stupid at times when i was playing it.

If they keep the platforming and climbing in the multiplayer while having shoot outs it will add alot more to the game than just running and taking cover.

No, the unattractive part is that it will be equal to all other MP games. And it will get crushed this fall (MW2). The only way to get and keep people playing it is by creating a much more unique MP experience, like NYrockinglegend said.

i agree w/ everything you said. lol. and like some people are saying, if MP sux, then it doesnt matter as long as the SP is good. im sure it will be
Here's what I'm hoping multiplayer will be like: -Be no more than 10 players per game -Have platforming elements to mix with the shooting -Offers a more "unique" competitive multiplayer experience -Does not get tiring quickly -Is complex with lots of stuff to do -Works well -Not be littered with grenades and rockets. Also, good balance between weapons. Co-op: -Hopefully, AI enemies that fire at you, campaign stuff. NO ZOMBIES -Have some good fun missions to play. Since it's an adventure game, it should be exploring missions to uncover treasure or whatnot. Objectives should be a good variety. Also, make each mission DIFFERENT from the next(this is what R2 failed to do in this mode). -Be no more than 4 players online. Also, no single-player co-op(this ends badly for a single-player title). I also hope for at least 1 other player online splitscreen. With these accomplishments, online is going to be a great success for this game. But I doubt that most of it will be fulfilled.

I'm in the not sure camp... I believe they could definitely make the co-op work well. But I'm not sure about competitive multiplayer.... I'll reserve judgment until the beta. Whether the multiplayer is good or not, I just hope the single player does not suffer as a result of the mp effort.
